WASHINGTON (AP) - The sole Democratic African-American senator cast doubt on the need for a "black agenda'' from the president and on its chances of passage in Congress during a Democratic forum with largely African-American reporters Wednesday.
Massachusetts Sen. William "Mo'' Cowan said the issues that black Americans are concerned about are the same as those causing white Americans concern, although to different degrees.
"I think he has to stick with the agenda and what he thinks is going to move the country forward,'' Cowan said referring to President Barack Obama. Cowan is temporarily filing the seat vacated by John Kerry who is now secretary of state.
Republican Sen. Tim Scott of South Carolina also is African-American.
Since his election in 2008 as the first black president, Obama has been hounded by questions about how well his administration has addressed the needs of the black community.

Obama is sticking with his agenda, the agenda of dividing Americans and tearing the country apart.
"They were privileged to vote for me in 2008 and in 2012. What else do they want?"
Let them waste their time on this. My guess is that it will be more of the same. Of course, rinos will jump on this and try to get in front of the camera to show they care.
If he wanted to do something for blacks, he would have to reverse his previous positions.

Where does financial rewards for Egypt, et al fit in the black agenda items list?
Where does NASA’s celebration of muslim scientific advancements in astronomy fit in the black agenda items list?
They’ve found out they are on the back of the bus. Obama’s former friends are usually found UNDER the bus.
“They got the t-shirt proclaiming my historic presidency, what more could they possibly need?”
Don’t forget the Dems’ love for abortions which kill off much of the black population as well.
Who in DC is making sure that the fat person agenda is being enacted? Or do I have to wait for Christie to be elected POTUS?
