Former Sen. Elizabeth Dole, who briefly ran for president herself, on Thursday called Hillary Clinton a front-runner.
I have to say as far as Hillary is concerned, you know we can recognize that were past the point of a woman being accepted as president because she almost made it last time, and also just to think she could be a front-runner a few years ago, that wouldnt have been something that would have been conceivable, Dole, a former Republican senator from North Carolina, said on CBS This Morning. But she is the front-runner. Of course, its a very personal decision, having been through that myself [for the 2000 election]. Its something that she will have to decide.
Dole, whose husband, Bob Dole, was the GOP presidential nominee in 1996, said there are plenty of capable people who could run in 2016 and lots of excellent people in the party, but its too early to name names on the Republican side.
She did, however, name policies, saying that moving on immigration policy could play a constructive role in broadening the GOPs appeal.
I think most definitely there are several things that could be helpful, she said. This immigration policy thats being discussed right now, which I think could be a very helpful initiative if that moves forward, immigration certainly in terms of continuing sustained economic growth.
She continued, And I think we need to be careful not to be too rigid so that we seem to be unwelcoming to people who might want to come into the big tent.

Notice how Democrats aren’t bragging about how well Biden is going to do against Republican candidates. We need to start pushing Biden’s candidacy now.
Elizabeth Dole? You be crazy GOPe
Be quiet, Liz, you RINO loser. Get back to helping your husband’s ED.
Wonder how long it has been since the old man’s Viagra stopped being effective?
Liddy, ol' girl, what makes you think the illegals want anything to do with your tent? Aside from tearing it down...and burning it?
Clearly, RINOs are the reason why the GOP is known as "The Stupid Party".
