Exclusive: Disney Channel Breaks New Ground with Good Luck Charlie Episode (Gay Couple)
TV Guide ^ | June 20, 2013 | Michael Schneider

Posted on 06/20/2013 10:52:48 PM PDT by Pinkbell

In a first for the Disney Channel, next season an episode of Good Luck Charlie will feature a family with two moms.

Producers are currently casting the couple, with production set for next week. The episode will air in early 2014 as part of Good Luck Charlie's final season. Because Good Luck Charlie is coming to a close, the characters are only expected to appear in this one episode.

In the storyline, parents Amy and Bob Duncan (Leigh-Allyn Baker and Eric Allan Kramer) set up a playdate for preschooler Charlie (Mia Talerico) and one of her new friends. When the kid arrives, the Duncans learn that Charlie's pal has two moms. That's fine, but the potential new friendship is put to the test as one mom chats with Amy, and the other is stuck listening to Bob's dull stories.

The playdate is actually the secondary story in the episode, as much of the action will center on Teddy (Bridgit Mendler) and her best friend Ivy, as Ivy prepares to head off to college.

But Disney Channel understands the groundbreaking nature of featuring a same-sex couple on one of its sitcoms and took extra care in crafting the episode. "This particular storyline was developed under the consultancy of child development experts and community advisors," a Disney Channel spokesperson says. "Like all Disney Channel programming, it was developed to be relevant to kids and families around the world and to reflect themes of diversity and inclusiveness."

” Annette Funicello once said that when she moved from Disney to Beach Party movies that Walt Disney personally told her that as a member of the Disney family she will always represent their values and he asked her to always act in accordance to them.

We have truly gone to hell. “

Indeed.

I stopped watching entertainment shows years ago because of these liberal landmines that they like to bury where you least expect it. You cannot trust them, they are playing a power game with us. They know they have the power and they love rubbing our noses in it.

By the way, I sent an email to Disney letting them know that we will not be watching their programs.

It’s pretty much the exact same theme as MeTV, but with a different lineup of older shows. The Three Stooges, Sanford and Son, McHale’s Navy, Married With Children (a guilty pleasure, I admit - but they run it at an appropriately late hour after the kids are asleep), etc etc.

It’s a pretty decent channel, complementing MeTV nicely. Folks like to rave about how we’re supposedly in a golden age of television writing, but something’s gotta be wrong with me, as I think these older shows are better than 99% of the garbage tripe that’s on today.

Years ago a friend whose brother worked in Disney animation told me that Disney was stuffed with homosexuals. This was more than 20 years ago. Disney has been pushing perversion, albeit often more veiled (and sometimes not veiled) for years. Children need to be protected from propaganda that pushes perversion!

Freepmail me if anyone wants on/off any of my pinglists.

I cancelled my cable after the SyFy channel threw a meaningless lesbo scene into the show Defiance. To heck with television. Football season is going to be tough on me.

sick plain and simple.

Just because the media hangs out with their homo pals in their jobs and the west and north east coasts doe snot mean most of the country agrees with their sham and to top it off they will go ahead with this crap and they will see ratings drop but they will keep it on TV because agenda is more important than anything else to these people

Even if you don’t let your kids watch it, other kids will watch it and will talk about it at school or when they are hanging out with your kids. It is very frustrating.

Notify advertisers with your grievances.

I think that electing Obama twice has encouraged the gay agenda since Obama was very vocal about supporting it. The presidency sets a tone and a standard for the country. Obama’s standard is throw out everything that is moral and traditional. It’s a brave new world.

agree with that and the ultimate program was one called de grassi but thankfully I have been close to my kids and we talk every day instead of letting then go in their bedroom with their own TV, computer, I pod phone etc.

Their bedroom is for sleeping and when my daughter heard a couple of girls talking about this said program she told them that she wasn’t interested in it .

Sadly so many parents today let their kids go to their bedrooms and do what ever , they never check homework, never talk to their kids and some , actually many don’t even raise their kids anymore due to them being lazy and thinking life is all about them and not their kids.

The amount of times I have talked to kids who come over here or parents who think their life should not be about their kids until they get older.

One kid makes his own food and then goes into his bedroom to eat, another kid came over and could not use a knife and fork, another girl came over and had never sat at a table and the ultimate was a woman who asked us to come to her 5 year olds birthday party and we did .

This woman and her yuppie friends all stood about drinking wine, never bothered with their kids, the food was celery and blueberries for crying out loud, no kids food and her son cried most of the day because he was not allowed into the house to play with his toys as she wanted to hang out and drink their red wine and out do each other about who eats more healthy and how they have just bought their burberry scarf.

I know this is not just liberals either as many conservatives are lie this and then we wonder why the schools take over and the country is going to crap with men dressing as woman and kids thinking it’s alright

How long did DiGrassi last after its homo scenes? Hope it didn’t last for long.

I just checked Good Luck Charlie, do you believe the rating is G? Introducing homosexuality to children who don’t even know what it means is considered appropriate for everyone.

Good luck Charlie is now having homosexuality !!!

For crying out loud , why can’t they just keep kids as kids and stop trying to push their twisted agenda onto them.

Meet the parents is PG13 and there is no way that should be 13 and I;ve seen other movies which have a low rating and has men kissing men of which was turned off right away .

I use Netflix now if we are to watch a movie and we screen it first.

Just looked up degrassi and their ratings have dropped and it also states it received good ratings from NY Times, AfterElton.com what ever that is and of course it would receive good rating from them as it’s their agenda.

My guess their ratings dropped after bringing in their homosexuality agenda.
