After Phone Call with Rubio, O'Reilly Offers Full-Scale Support of Immigration Bill

Thursday night on Fox News’s "The O’Reilly Factor," host Bill O’Reilly came out in full-scale support for the immigration reform bill currently making its way through the Senate.

Despite its border security shortcomings, O’Reilly said, “it looks like the secure border is in reach – at least somewhat.” He continued, “Talking Points supports immigration reform, even though I well understand the new law will be somewhat chaotic…will be a magnet for more people to come here illegally, which is why we need stepped up security around the border.” He concluded, “I hope this bill does become law.”

Multiple Republican senators have stridently fought the notion that the immigration reform bill currently under consideration is sufficient to guarantee any true border security. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) said, “We must stop this Gang of 8 immigration bill, which would give amnesty to an estimated 11 million illegal immigrants with no guarantee of a secure border.” Sen. John Cornyn (R-AZ) stated that his amendment, which was rejected, would have guaranteed border security, while the current version does not: “The difference between my amendment and their bill is that their bill promises the sun and the moon when it comes to border security but it has no trigger mechanism.” Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) explained, “I don’t think it will stop the reform waiting on border security. It allows the reforms to go ahead and tries to get border security, but I think they should be dependent upon each other. So, unless that happens, I’m not sure I can support it.”

I’ve been saying since I first head the man- O’Reilly is NOT a conservative by nature. He sounds consistently like a liberal who wanted to make money talking who is smart enough to have figured out that making money is not likely as a lefty talker so he adopted a conservative stance but hd/has not the education to know all of what that entails. He gets it spectacularly wrong on occasion and when he does that and gets backlash, he either shuts up about the subject if he simply cannot understand why he went wrong, or he does a little research and discovers what he thought was correct because it accords with his natural liberal mindset was off and then he apologizes and redirects (once) or he hammers down on it and insists that his view is the CONSERVATIVE view and everyone else better come around to his view, and some do.

Ted Baxter supporting amnesty is no surprise. It's unfortunate that his time slot gives him the highest rated show on Fox News. Apparently a lot of inadequately informed viewers think he's smart (ha!) and conservative (double ha!). He's always been left of moderate.

Rubio advocating amnesty is not a surprise, though it is an embarrassment. Yesterday I heard on one of the talk radio shows that a large Tea Party group in Florida is looking for a candidate to primary Rubio. I wish them luck.

What has surprised me is Rand Paul turning out to be an open borders, amnesty-loving, large L libertarian who doesn't give a crap what his policies do to our economy. I hoped we'd seen the backside of that brand of lunacy when his father retired. No such luck.

Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) explained, “I don’t think it will stop the reform waiting on border security. It allows the reforms to go ahead and tries to get border security, but I think they should be dependent upon each other. So, unless that happens, I’m not sure I can support it.”

He's not sure. Moron.

I saw this last night. The segment with Laura Ingraham was priceless. She wiped the floor with O’Reilly and he was too bull headed to even notice. She had read the bill, he hadn’t, she had the facts, he had the bloviate.

BOR is so full of himself that he just might ‘pop’ at any moment. His lack of knowledge re: what’s involved in the current immigration debate is embarrassing.

I was banned from commenting on his Facebook feeds simply by pointing out why he doesn’t understand the Second Amendment.

None of these people are on our side. Well, seems Ted Cruz is. But the joke that is Fox News just got “funnier” and not in a good way.

Ever since bill gave an interview to Obama during the Republican debate, I knew his heart belonged to daddy.

This is another thing that daddy really wants, and he'll get it anyway he needs too.

imo, bill's just helping to make sure the republicans take a well deserved bruising for it.

At the end of his interview with Laura, I LOL when he said that he lived in the real world and she said “So do I, I read the bill”

I’m of the mind that anyone who supports this Bill who is not a dyed in wool radical liberal, has received a call from the NSA.

This is the only way I can make sense of it.

I was saddened to see that last night. His inner Ted Baxter came out.

Sadly, on the subject of immigration, we're seeing a lot of that lately.

Vote-crazed Dems and deranged, legacy-driven Ohaha are in collusion w/ Mexico, making deals for aye votes in exchange for hyphenate votes at the ballot box. O will x-out any provisions that interfere w/ his plans.

As I posted earlier:.....why do we taxpayers have to worry about border security AND foot the bills for it? When does Mexico step up to the plate? After all, they are the ones who will be pocketing zillions in US tax dollars (foreign aid and other giveaways power-crazed Ohaha can dream up). Vote-crazed Dems are gonna turn on the tax tap full force.

LYING IN WAIT The "pressure groups" Mexico threw over the border are lying in wait----conniving to exchange hyphenate votes for tax dollars.

Taxpayers demand oil-rich Mexico vamoose-o the cantinas and the senoritas, and police their own borders.

Watching Ted Baxter last night I was reminded of how convenient a time the 7:00 pm CDT hour is for watching my DVR’d episode of Red Eye.
