FBI investigators believe theyve arrested a man responsible for at least 19 bank robberies in 2013.
Luis Delagarza, 59, of Farmers Branch is believed to be the Mesh Mask Bandit and was arrested for armed robbery of a Wells Fargo bank in Dallas in April.
According to a release from the U.S. Department of Justice, an FBI special agent interviewed an employee of the Wells Fargo robbed on April 22 who saw the bank robbers face as he entered and left the building.
The witness later identified Delagarza in a photo lineup.
Delagarza made his initial appearance in federal court Friday, where U.S. Magistrate Judge Irma C. Ramirez ordered he was to remain in federal custody. The next hearing is scheduled for June 25.
Delagarza has been a prominent immigrant rights activist in Mexico for years.
The Dallas News reported:
De la Garza, a Mexican immigrant, spoke out about immigration policies, including those in Farmers Branch, where he has lived for at least a decade.
He was credited with developing a low-power Spanish-language television station, TeleAmerica, in the 1990s and had served on a prominent advisory committee of about 100 immigrants to the Mexican governments Foreign Relations Ministry.

I AM SHOCKED AND APPALLED AT THIS INAPPROPRIATE BEHAVIOR!!!!!
Something tells me we’re just going to love Los Gangstas’ “immigration reform”. The illegals get “waivers” for everything. This clown will get off too. It’s really too bad the buffoons on Capitol Hill don’t care as much about Americans as they do about the illegal foreign invaders. But hey! You get what you vote for. Elections DO have consequences. The old school “American Dream” is toast.
Isn’t this the guy that created the big media hissy fit over Farmers Branch passing a law requiring landlords to ask for proof of citizenship or legal entry before renting?
I do believe it was.
19 bank robberies huh? That should give him a leg up on a fast track to citizenship. Is he just robbing banks that Americans won’t rob?
He’s just doing the bank robberies that Americans won’t do.
Look, give the guy a break. The position of Activist doesn’t pay a lot these days. Besides, it was probably just money belonging to gringos that he stole.
“...don’t care about Americans...”
It’s understandable if you consider that none of the buffoons in the Gang has actually met an American in decades. They have to rely on the likes of Chris Matthews and Ed Schultz to tell them who Americans are.
BUT ARE YOU DEEPLY SADDENED?
“Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!”
I dont’ see alleged bank robbin thugs mentioned...anywhere here..
Answer - a mesh mask.
It’s all on the continuum of what he considers his entitlement. When illegal aliens have already demonstrated that our laws are not worth keeping to them, as shown by their very presence here, no thinking person should be surprised by their choosing to break other laws.
WATCH IN DEEP ADMIRATION AS OUR HEROINE ANN COULTER DOES MORE THAN HER PART TO DEFEAT THE IMMIGRATION..BILL...SHE’S OUT THERE EVERYWHERE SHE’S MAGNIFICENT...THANKS ANN!
I AM PAYING THE PRICE!!!!!!!
I did a little research -- never found out if this guy is in the country legally [of course, everyone in the world is in the country legally any more!]
Has anyone noticed that the enemy of the Ob@ma Admin, the Democraps and the libs are the people who work and pay the bills in this country?! ...curious...
Well, the you-know-who will make sure they keep paying and keep their mouths shut!
