It is what the people voted for. They are only getting what they voted for. I hope they enjoy it. Because I don’t and won’t. The “people”, to use the term very loosely, I am referencing are those who voted for obama in 2008 and 2012.

I didn’t say they can shut off your power, but they can throttle it. You’ll receive a notice in the mail or by phone that you’re reaching some arbitrary limit for “green” use, and they’ll advise you to set your thermostat to a specific temperature, buy energy efficient appliances, etc. If you don’t comply, they’ll jack up your rates using a new sliding scale they’re developing.

There have been some peeps from Congress, but certainly not enough. A lot if them are probably scared by now.

Also, of course, the Senate is controlled by the Dems, so there won’t be any help there, unless some of them wake up and realize that he could easily turn on them, too.

I think one of the big reasons Obama has put so much effort into trying to manipulate the elections and the candidates and trying to suppress political speech is that he is looking at 2010 and wants to make sure that there is no chance of getting more GOPers into the Senate or of getting more aggressive ones into the House. If he can shut us down in 2010, it will be smooth sailing for him from there - and complete oppression for us.

This could be good for us for 2014. Maybe if the people who are asleep feel more pain they will start to rebel against the democrats.

I’m sure that there will be subsidies offered to the right people.

No...

* You will be offered a loan through a Fannie and Freddie Only.
* This loan will be for Solar Panels, more Insulation etc.
* Watch them be called the "Energy Corps" after the Peace Corps.
* They will be trained via a "Jobs" program run by SEIU, the Tides Foundation or some such Organization that gets a Federal Grant.
* Did I mention these Technicans will be Federal Unionized Workers Exempt from Obamacare?

BTW....

Say goodbye to Hockey and Figure Skating as sports if this happens. The Compressors run on Electricity ( I have yet to see one powered by a fueled engine ) and the word I heard through the grapevine was the Climate Bill in 2009 had them rattled as they knew it was a death-nell to their industry, they will have no margins or the ability to raise prices and keep people from leaving the sports....

No surprise here....Obama - The Green Nazi - said years ago that he was going to put coal fired power plants out of business at some point in his term of office.

It’s looking more and more like Ayn Rand was dead on target in her 1957 best seller, “Atlas Shrugged” in which the socialists in America drive the country back to candles, wagon trains and feudalism.

That was my first thought as well.

And I see a few FReepers have given you the links.

I heard a radio discussion on this the other day and they were BRAGGING 0bama does not even need to go through congress to get this done. 0bama and the EPA already have the authority through various legislation to get this done.

As much as I would like to see 0bama put out of office...the real culprit here are the congresses, that over the years, delegated their power away to the executive branch through legislation. They (congress) has no authority under the current form of government to ‘check the executive power.

Protesters demonstrate against proposed Duke rate hike
http://www.energybiz.com/article/13/06/protesters-demonstrate-against-proposed-duke-rate-hike

Duke Energy, the corporate parent of both Duke Energy Carolinas and Duke Energy Progress, has defended its rate-increase requests as allowing it to recover billions of dollars invested in upgrading its ability to generate power and complying with state and federal environmental regulations.

At the courthouse rally, protesters held signs such as “Affordable Energy is a Right”

Duke recently bought Progress Energy. Everyone in these parts (north central FL) has a smart meter. We already have frequent power outages.

Rolling blackouts? Not likely, least wise not because of Obozo’s over regulation of the plants.

It will result in consumers and businesses paying higher energy bills which will in turn further dampen economic growth.

This guy up in the oval office is just plain ignert when it comes to the economy...ignert I tell ya, ignert.

I’m sure that the owners of those power plants would object; however, Obama has copies of all of their emails, their phone records, their credit card transactions, their GPS coordinates for the last 5 years, their web browsing history, their search histories, their spouses’ emails, phone records, credit card transactions...

...but Snowden’s a TRAITOR!!

How about the college students loan rates also. Government has monopoly and raises rates and makes big time profit on backs of students. Not in their best interest but what do they know since they keep supporting him

exactly what is she famous for as I have no idea about her other tan being famous and in the news?

As for the sheep and their celebrity obsession, isn’t it sad how million of Americans don’t see their pay checks go down, how unemployment is, or how Egypt, Libya dead American, Syria the UK, Czech, Poland are or have bene pissed all over and that our foreign policy is a mess and funny how the media mention now about a soldier who was kidnapped when it looks like he might be freed but if Bush were in then the media would have hammered Bush for not trying to get him back
