Incredible Photos and Video of Massive Louisiana Waterspout

A massive waterspout roared just offshore Grand Isle, Louisiana on Wednesday and the photos and video are incredible. Local news indicates nobody was injured and there was only minor damage once the storm came ashore.

That one with the skier showed the most of the actual waterspout. The large sheath seems to be water vapor sucked up and flowing around the spout.
I haven’t seem many water spouts, but that was impressive.

I wonder if it-or any waterspout- dropped a load of seafood on land? Crabs shrimp and fish all over would be good.

While this waterspout is huge, they are not uncommon. Grand Isle is my old fishing waters. We used to see waterspouts and tornadoes all of the time and outrun them.

We almost had a gustnado out here in West Texas the past few weeks. Amazing down drafts on some of the super cell fronts.
