What a scary story. Originally ‘Global Warming’ meant, ‘getting hotter’. Now it means, ‘getting colder’, ‘staying the same’, ‘lots of hurricanes’, ‘no hurricanes’, ‘big tornadoes’, ‘no rain’, ‘heavy rain’, etc. etc. Two short generations ago people wd have laughed in the face of such lunatic silliness. Now it is standard.
I did laugh out loud at the way you divvied up the liberals’ $. That was a very nice touch.
The “growing threat of climate change” is that it is not happening. That’s unacceptable to the Warmist cult.

Saner ways to fight climate change:
Enact high tariffs on Chinese goods. They burn too much oil and pollute making their stuff. Their cargo ships pollute the air transporting stuff across the ocean.
Make and enforce laws that all levels of government must procure goods made in the U.S.A. If it can’t be sourced here, then the factories must be built here and the goods made here. Our manufacturing uses cleaner production.
Restrict goverment officials from flying so much. Air travel pollutes. The reduced air travel and meetings will reduce the government footprint that pollutes.
Mandate a 50 percent reduction in staffing for government officials. That’ll cut hot air. See where we’re going with this? You start looking at things logically, and it leads to government being the problem. Obama is creating insane “solutions” when he is part of the problem.
Approximately half of the “warming” that took place during the last 100 years can be explained through the “urban heat island effect”. Reporting stations that at one time were located in rural locations are now in or near cities which absorb more heat during the day and release it during the evening as compared to forested or farm lands.
The other half is consistent with the warming that the world has experienced since the depths of “little ice age” that took place several hundred years ago.
I could go on and on... but this is nothing but a power grab (literally) to redistribute the wealth from developed western economies to lesser developed areas of the world. Our dear leader doesn't think that it is fair that we have more than people in other parts of the world.
