Ex-CIA contractor, Edward Snowden’s plane to Cuba will pass through US airspace, an Interfax source reports. Washington has an extradition notice against Snowden on charges of espionage and could intervene if the plane enters US jurisdiction.

Aeroflot flight SU150, leaves Moscow at 14:04 local time (11:04 GMT) and will fly through US airspace a couple of kilometers from the coast of New York on its way to Havana, reported Russian news agency Interfax, citing a source in Sheremetevo airport air traffic control. Snowden has checked in for the flight and there are two seats under his name (17A and 17C), reports the Associated Press, citing Aeroflot. The plane has finished boarding and Snowden has not been seen on board.

I think he’s probably still working for the CIA else why didn’t he remain anon? He’s got the profile of one whose easily manipulated - self-important-narcissistic - the CIA love them plus he’ll get to keep his $200,000/yr with a few added bonus’.

Wouldn’t it be great if these Journalists spent as much time and money looking into Obama’s past?

A so-far successful attempt by the State-Run Media and Obama to make Snowden the story, instead of NSA’s spying on US citizens.

Pathetic, isn't it? The story of the US government spying on innocent citizens in ways only imagined during the Bush years has been knocked from the headlines while the Lame Stream Media slobbers all over itself to cover this snowden kook. I can't say I'm surprised, though. The public by and large is fairly gullible and all too easily manipulated, characteristics necessary if it is to be dominated by a 2-bit hustler like Barry Hussein.

I don’t believe he outed himself just because of ego.

Something else is afoot.

“He could be like Tom Hanks in that movie about the guy who stayed in the airport for a long time”

Now that’s funny. :)

I would laugh if it stopped in Kenya first....to stick it further to Obama..

The idea that he has some big secrets...The secrets are that we spy on Russia, China, and every damn country.....just like Russia and China and etc etc etc.

Where's the backlash....I'm almost thinking that perhaps there is proof that we DELIBERATELY left the Boston Bombers alone because they were Muslim refugees and we didn't want Russia telling us what to do.

OVER 30 JOURNALISTS FROM AROUND THE WORLD BOUGHT TICKET *MOSCOW - HAVANA* TO TAKE PICTURE OF THE EMPTY SEAT. GREAT

Another 100 passengers on the flight are probably NSA and CIA agents. But best of all, the Moscow-Havana flight is 12 1/2 hours long, and doesn't serve any alcohol!

I agree....He found something...And we know what it is....My guess is that we have a hit out on him.

Someone said he gave his computer motherload to China before he left. I believe it's someplace else. Russia is much more likely.

“How do we know Snowden was ever in Russia?

Hong Kong’s original statement yesterday saying Edward Snowden had left the Chinese territory made no mention of Russia, saying only that he had gone to a “third country”:

Mr Edward Snowden left Hong Kong today [June 23] of his own accord for a third country through a lawful and normal channel.

The US government earlier on made a request to the HKSAR [Hong Kong special administrative region] government for the issue of a provisional warrant of arrest against Mr Snowden. Since the documents provided by the US government did not fully comply with the legal requirements under Hong Kong law, the HKSAR government has requested the US government to provide additional information so that the Department of Justice could consider whether the US government’s request can meet the relevant legal conditions.

As the HKSAR government has yet to have sufficient information to process the request for provisional warrant of arrest, there is no legal basis to restrict Mr Snowden from leaving Hong Kong. The HKSAR government has already informed the US government of Mr Snowden’s departure.

Wikileaks, which says it has been assisting Snowden, and Aeroflot sources speaking to various news organisations both said he was going to Russia.

But no Russian officials ever confirmed he has arrived. Vladimir Putin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov told the Guardian yesterday: “I don’t [know if he’s planning to stay in Moscow]. I heard about his potential arrival from the press. I know nothing.”

Russian security personnel certainly swarmed around Sheremetyevo airport, and the Ecuadorian ambassador Patricio Chavez also turned up – asking “Do you know where he is? Is he coming here?”

Russian news agency Interfax also reported that a Venezuelan diplomat picked Snowden up when he arrived.

Aeroflot told the Associated Press this morning that he was registered for the Havana flight that left half an hour ago.

The Guardian keeps pushing the idea that he might not even be in Russia.

Miriam Elder sends more from Interfax and its “source familiar with Snowden’s situation”:

Snowden is probably already outside the Russian Federation. He could have flown on a different place. It is unlikely journalists could become witnesses to his flight.

Yes, I think it might be Nationalization kinda like National Socialism that they have in Europe. So a takeover of the NSA and it’s affiliates which would include the lucrative private contractors (some of which are already in tandem with the government or rather vice versa) might be in the works. They’re standardizing the globe one step at a time, for example, Socialized Medicine like the UK. The immigration deal is also important perhaps an effort to Balkanize us like Clinton et al did in Yugoslavia and they’re going to do in the ME - easier to control. I don’t think fusing N America w/ S America is the end plan.
