Russia defied White House pressure on Monday to expel former U.S. spy agency contractor Edward Snowden to the United States before he flees Moscow on the next stop of his globe-crossing escape from U.S. prosecution.

Ya know, I still have to deal with a number of hard-core Democrats who keep insisting George W. was an idiot because he mispronounced nuclear as “nook-yuh-ler”.

I’m not that old, but am I the ONLY one who remembers Jimmy Carter? And he spent a good bit of his life aboard nook-yuh-ler submarines!

Can some one here, please explain to me, how we have an agency, the NSA, who can virtually find out anything and everything on each of us here...can target us for tax audits...can badger us...in many ways....AND NOBODY IN THAT AGENCY, NOT ONE PERSON, HAS ANY KNOWLEDGE SURROUNDING THE BIRTH PLACE, TRAVEL, SOCIAL SECURITY, COLLEGE HISTORY, ETC ETC OF THE GUY IN THE WHITE HOUSE? Was Obama a CIA informant? Did he spy for us? I mean why the secret about the guy? And while we’re at it...people like this guy Snowdon has not one piece of information on Obama...

Oh, and yeah...you better believe that Putin is going to rub Obama’s nose in the dirt on this one, and Syria. The next two weeks will be interesting.

I’ve read the stories of the other whistle blowers who went the way of reporting things the legal way, and what’s happened to them. No wonder, Snowdon did it this way.

We’re in big trouble people. Our country is not what is was even five years ago. You think Jimmy Carter hurt us...? The effects of the Obama regime...will be affecting us and generations to come....

0-bama is the worst person in the world right now and he alone is the greatest threat to Americans that love liberty and the constitution. Anyone that opposes this POS deserves our support.
I don’t care if Snowden is a Chinese spy. Snowden did every American that believes in liberty a great service by exposing the corrupt surveillance state greatly expanded by our disgusting and malevolent dictator.

You are NOT alone. I remember also.
It’s just that Carter doesn’t matter anymore.

Whoever could have imagined just 20 years ago that a creepy spy thriller like this would be the US feds chasing a citizen trying to get the truth out to citizens about just how spied-upon we are?

There are a few movies with a plot similar to that. "Enemy of the State" comes to mind. Will Smith, Gene Hackman, 15 years ago (1998)

Bush was hated because he had the Cowboy image and spoke like a down to Earth man who yes, even made mistakes or misspoke himself - he was not the teleprompter in Chief.

Carter, as I remember him (despite all efforts at trying to erase this period from my memory), spoke with a southern drawl and sounded and acted like an idiot, one notch above his more idiot brother, Billy. Remember “Billy Beer”? Carter's own line of mediocre beer?

Anyway, George Bush will remained a condemned man by the Liberals just because, he's George Bush the Idiot. Others, like the current President can get away with absurd and outlandish things and nobody says a word. It's “1984’s Newspeak”.

Don’t forget, he was going to win us friends everywhere, after the “abusive” George Bush was out of office.

How’s that workin’ for ya pResident Obama? LOL

Didja ever think that a former KGB colonel & virtual dictator of Russia would now have a growing posse of Americans cheering him on as he disses our Prez?

If Putin comes to America he will be met at the airport by enthusiastic fans. I’d be there for one.

How times do change.

“Putin doesn’t believe in freedom.”
Still he is less of socialist than the punk POTUS in DC. Incredible isn’t it?

On one level, I could say that any enemy of the US government - who have declared me to be their enemy - is at least potentially a friend of mine, (making the distinction between the US government and the American people).

OTOH, the culture itself has been so corrupted by the Communist Long March Through the Institutions that I don’t even resonate much with anybody here anymore, and it doesn’t even feel like my country.

Are the Russians or the Chinese going to treat people like you and me any worse than our own government is clearly planning to? At least the “final solution” would not have the added pain of being a betrayal by our own government.

“Wish we could put Obama in a cage match with Putin. Vlad would do the world a favor.”

Especially if it was a match in which the loser had to get down on his knees and beg the winner to stop beating on him. Of course “on his knees before a real man” might be just the perfect turn on for the Illegal.

Guy I know on Facebook just posted a photo of Obama with an empty chair and the caption “Obama meets with Clint Eastwood”. My WHAT an unoriginal thought.

All of this is vexing. America has been given into the hands of some truly wicked people. They are restrained only by God’s grace. (For that I thank you, Lord!)

If a pagan nation like Nineveh can respond to the warnings of God’s prophet Jonah, repent and then be spared destruction...can’t a somewhat Christian nation like ours also? We need to quit beseeching hell-bound politicians and start beseeching the Living God. He actually cares about us!

The Russians actually have some very funny curses, which when abbreviated, would be recognized by the Russians but met with blank stares by everyone else.

For example:

“Gaishnik!” — Literally “Policemen who checks cars!”
