His exposure that this government is spying on its citizens isn’t a betrayal of the country, though. Do you honestly think any of our Founders would have tolerated government spies stationed in every home? That would have been the period equivalent of what the NSA does now.
When you have a lawless government with a president that decides on his own what laws to enforce and issues edicts he coudn’t pass through congress, when you have a government that uses the power of its bureaucracies to go after its political opponents, when you have a government that surreptitiously spies on its own citizens, when you have a government that given more rights to illegal aliens than its own citizens, when you have a president who openly despises our constitution, then anyone with the courage to shine some light on this corruption, I applaud.
“I wonder what the majority of comments around here would have looked like if this same thing happened under, oh I dont know, a president Palin.”
Except that it probably wouldn’t have happened under a president Palin...
If he’s a “traitor” then the Founding Fathers were “traitors”. Both opposed despots.
Obama, Holder, Napolitano, Sebelius, Feinstein, Schumer, and McCain hate Snowden’s guts, and would have him shot if they could. That’s all I need to know.
“Except he leaked national security secrets.”
Exactly what national security secrets did he leek? I haven’t heard of any. Or, are you just regurgitating the crap from the DOJ?
Obama has now very urgently tightened the screws on government employees to stop the leaks. Even military retirees have been given recent notice they may face UCMJ action and loss of retirement pay and benefits if they "act up". Considering how much has happened under Obama in the past 10 months, anything is possible.
In the meantime, Snowden is magically MIA amid the greatest intel and surveillance consortium known to man....something doesn't add up.
Until recently I would likely have leaned away from Snowden
because of the ongoing threat of terrorism. However, since
Demoncrats have shown a propensity to use an agency of
the government against their political enemies (re: IRS) and
the so-called 4th Estate (re: news media) doesn’t seem to
mind then I say to hell with the NSA.

I never said I support the NSA’s program. It scares the hell out of me. However Snowden isn’t a hero, he’s a coward. The Founding Father’s didn’t run away, they literally risked their lives by standing their ground and fighting.
Communism remains, as does Putin's desire to re-institute the U.S.S.R. I don't trust those bastards, never have, never will.
Helps to have an army behind you. Where’s Snowden’s Army?
Yeah, if they have their nose so far up our asses why can’t they find Snowden?
The guy answered questions on the internet in a public forum for over an hour.
Something don’t add up.
Gotta go, I can’t talk now, the appliances are listening. /s
Putin hates Communism, said it many times.
He is more of an admirer of Imperial Russia, as it was under the Czars.
And sure, he liked the prestige on the world stage the former Soviet Union had, but he despised their system of government.
If Waldo was on the up and up he would have remained anonymous like so many others before him - he could also like so many others have become a whistleblower - both the anons and whistlers are patriotic, gave us valuable information to protect our privacy, only wanted to change the system for the better while saving us dollars, and stayed home to take the heat. This guy is a globalist (like Obama et al) with no sense of sovereignity. He has diluted the importance of traditional national security (as can be noted when he isn’t even called a double agent) and the necessity for secrecy - this will give more power to the globalists and weaken our stance in the world - we are going the way of a controlled global melting pot. This is why Soros is always going on about “transparency” or “open society” he’s been itching to get inside the NSA. Waldo didn’t tell us anything that the anons and whistleblowers hadn’t told us already but that wasn’t the purpose of the excercise.
Massive immigration will do the same to our sovereignity...it’s eroding it a chip at a tme.
Agreed ... shutting down the city of Boston while the police chased one loose kid ... detaining citizens in their homes, questioning them at gunpoint, searching without warrants ... that was an absolute disgrace. “Boston Tough” indeed.
Yeah sure. There are powerful forces doing things behind the scenes that would probably shock you. The. NSA has been doing this kind of stuff for decades. Palin barely controlled her stewardship of Alaska. Let alone set sop’s for an organization such as the NSA. It goes to the larger point though of a government that is too big and no one really knows who is running what and why.
Ditto.
lol.
If the Patriots took the same route Snowden did, then there wouldn’t have been a Continental army. There’d be simply a flood of angry exiles in France telling King Louis about how terrible Britain is.
