it was a lame effort for the defense to show the state wanted them BECAUSE they were ignorant and uninformed.

The good news is that openings and closings do NOT win cases. Pretrial motions do.

After all this, I would like to see a PROSECUTION PAYS clause to the rules of criminal procedure. Political trials should come at a monetary cost for the state. Perhaps a trebble damages clause when a special (political) prosecutor is appointed.

i agree that this is a political show trial. and i add that zimmerman is toast. the jury is gonna be thinking about riots caused by any acquittal.
