“There is absolutely nothing in the Constitution”

Every single colony established laws prior to the constitution protecting the English Common law definition of Marriage. One man and one woman.

It has always been the law of the land in America that marriage is one mand and one woman.

Not everything is in the constitution, some of the bedrock principles predate the constitution.

Yes, no argument there, or against English Common Law definition of marriage.

The point is that the Constitution specifically details what the federal government has juristiction over and marriage is not detailed in the Constitution at all. Because it is not mentioned, those laws which were carried over from the colonies to the states remain with the states and in their juristiction. The federal government has no juristiction over marriage laws which is why Graham is a complete idiot for making his statement.
