Several companies have already terminated or suspended business relationships with Paula Deen in the controversy over her use of racial slurs, yet sales of the celebrity chefs upcoming cookbook have skyrocketed.
Deans latest book, Paula Deens New Testament: 250 Favorite Recipes, All Lightened Up, has jumped all the way to No. 1 on Amazons best-sellers list and No. 7 on the Barnes & Noble Top 100 in advance of its scheduled release. The book, published by Random House, is still scheduled to be released on Oct. 15, according to Random House spokesman Stuart Applebaum.

To each his own.
No that’s not what I said, I’m saying no one forced the employee to watch pornography just like no one is forcing atheists to look at angels, crosses, you can spin it anyway you want, but most intelligent people get the gist of what I’m talking about.
“250 Favorite Recipes, All Lightened Up,”
Now that’s an unfortunately titled tome, considering the circumstances!
It is a legend, wrapped in rumor, wrapped in piety, a myth created by people who need to believe there is an afterlife.
That's pretty sick in my view.
I’m sure Amazon is sharing the billing info of every purchaser with the NSA, so could be any time.
She had just the weirdest obsession about old fashioned southern weddings, with hundreds of begloved black men. It was weird, more than the casual N word.
Honestly I cannot stand the woman, and yeah there’s the pornography thing, no class.
Then she geets type 2 diabetes that everybody almost has, and we get boo hoos. Fake as all get out. Sons and monkey face husband get on the talentless band wagon.
No I can’t stand the woman and that horrible drawl of hers. So take me with brain of salt. But her behaviour is class less. Might want to learn more before defending her.
Dear L Ord, this woman’s picture was on a ham! I don’t need her to buy a damn ham.
There’s something wrong in a world where Andrew Weiner is ahead in New York but Paula Deen (I’m no fan of her cooking) is ostracized.
I’m sick of the Food Network. I watched Giada last Thanksgiving and she acted drunk.
I have never watched anything on the Food Network and I have no idea what a Giada is. My interest in this story has to do with the fact that this this woman is being crucified for her words from years ago while blacks and others on the left say far worse things every single day.
Giada De Laurentiis is another celebrity chef. I agree with you that she is being crucified. I was merely adding my opinion of the network that fired her.
Former KKK member and democratic senator Robert "Sheets" Byrd used the "N" word as recently as 2001. Not only was he given a pass the left still called him the "Conscience of the Senate".
Just yesterday democRAT Rep. Ryan Winkler called Justice Thomas an "Uncle Thomas".
Weeks ago Alec Baldwin called a black photographer a "coon".
Speaking about Barack Obama, Bill Clinton said: "A few years ago, Barack Obama would have been getting us coffee."
Again, my point is why does the left hold Deen to a higher standard when these people get a pass? I think it's because she is a southerner so they automatically assumed she is a Republican. Thus, the selective outrage.
Two thoughts here. First, I’m really tired of “Paula’s Pity Party”. Yes, I hate that the left is eating her up. Has she called Oprah, yet? And how typical that the left spits ‘em out and the conservatives are there to pick ‘em up and offer support. Look at Imus and Juan Williams, among others. Thank the good Lord that we are willing to do that.
Second, this woman gives me a RASH! Go back and take a look at her old shows. Soft spoken southern accent, gray hair and a little makeup, crisp instructions, a real cooking show. The only guests were her dogs. Now you can’t get away from the family and friends populating the set. Where’s the recipe? Dammed if I know!! She’s just a caricature with lots of blue hair, enough makeup to fill the aisle at Walgreen’s, a too loud over the top accent, and sometimes off color humor. I’m from the south, born and bred, and she’s an embarrassment.
Last night, USA’s “Royal Pains” had two of the characters in Savannah, catching a minor league ball game. The camera panned over the backfield and one of the signs was for Lady and Sons and Bubba’s Shack. Wonder if they’ll edit that out for the rerun?
She really should can the interviews, you tubes and statements. But, being a typical lib, she just can’t shut up.
I know she supported Obama, so I have no idea why she is being demonized. It all started with the lawsuit.
Sorry, I don’t think that because Deen supported Obama she gets a free pass.
I am bothered that the left is crucifying her wile giving other liberal racists a pass. I say either stop crucifying people for saying a word or go after them all. Selective outrage is wrong.
I'm still waiting to hear condemnation of hers and others remarks by the NAACP, the Congressional Black Caucus, Al Charlatan & Je$$e Jackson. I know, I'm in for a long wait.
She doesn’t deserve your concern. She’ll go on Oprah with Michelle Obama, and talk about how she has seen the light, and will be forgiven, then she’ll blame conservatives and take no responsibility for herself.
Let’s help her retire rich, cause sure as heck her days at Food Network and Walmart are over.
Like Marge Schott, Paula's embarrassing, but so much of the commotion comes across as contrived and manipulated by media people who pretend to be indignant just to have a story.
I'm not going to cry over this, though. She'll do an apology tour and end up with her career and good name back at the end of it.
Giada always cooks with her boobs hanging out.
I’d never cook with my boobs exposed like she does.
Course it’s intentional and my boobs wouldn’t stick as much as Giada’s.
I’m jus’ sayin’.
