The Obama administration, already under fire for the IRS scandal and National Security Agency snooping of the computers and cellphones of Americans, is also spending millions to have private contractors conduct a dragnet for confidential and personal credit and bank transactions without a warrant.

Newly obtained documents from the Obama-created Consumer Financial Protection Bureau reveal that the administration has OK'd a project to accumulate the personal financial data of some 5 million and share it with other agencies to build a "nationally representative panel of credit information on consumers for use in a wide range of policy research projects."

The documents obtained by public watchdog group Judicial Watch and provided to Secrets also indicate that those picked in the dragnet will be chosen randomly, meaning every American is subject to the raid on their information.

For use in a wide range of research projects?

If only Mengele had had a chance to build databases..

His protegees aren’t far off in having the same mission.

Interesting...Why not remove them from the back and remember them only?

I know mine have worn off one card...no one ever asks.

Very few people even check the signature. TJ MAXX did last week. I wonder if she was really looking for the number...now you have me wondering.

from the Obama-created Consumer Financial Protection Bureau

That's the bureau Elizabeth "Granny" Warren (a/k/a Fauxcahontas) bragged about being instrumental in bringing about -- as proof that she's worked tirelessly "for the middle class."

Have you noticed how your driver’s license is being swiped at the bank for “any transaction” and also at the doctor’s office. Could that be part of this?

If no other Law Enforcement agency or private person doesn’t have the right to this information, what exempts federalies?

In Utah, they also swipe your DL when you enter a bar or order alcohol at a restaurant. Then, they have the info about what and how much you had to drink, if the police pull you over or you’re in an accident.

Never heard of your driver’s license being swiped at the bank. They did it to me at Best Buy for an exchange and I ripped the clerk a new one.

Wanna bet that 5 million grows? Say you work for Jones Construction. Well, now the gov will claim they need Mr. Jones’ records. They see that Mrs. Jones, who filed joint tax returns, is self employed as a housekeeper 10 people. Now the gov will want the records of each of those 10 people because they paid her, etc., etc., etc. No one is safe from prying eyes.

The Post Office also scans every parcel mailed and stores that information on their servers. Triangulation with mailings, credit card purchases, phone records, etc., leaves little to the gov’t’s imagination as to each and every move Americans make. Disgusting invasion of our privacy!
