We’re trying something different for today’s mid-day update. Rather than write a bunch of text, I’ve imbedded below some of the more key tweets I’ve made over the course of the morning. (This has the benefit of giving me a few minutes to each some lunch.)
Hopefully, the tweets below will give you a sense for how West’s cross-examination of Rachel Jeantel has gone so far this morning. We’ll have a detailed analysis, of course, in this evening’s end-of-day wrap-up post.

“In a painfully embarrassing moment, Jeantel was forced to admit that she did not write a letter that was sent to Martin’s mother describing what she allegedly heard on a phone call with Martin moments before he was shot. It came when West asked her to read the letter aloud in court.”
The video tape at the site above suggests that she previously admitted that she wrote the contents of the letter but that someone else then wrote a cleaner looking copy for her. I had not heard that detail before a few minutes ago.
I prefer ‘Saltine” if you don’t mind...
One of the social media (twitter things) said on the streaming site that “cracker” wasn’t racist because Trayvon said it about a “Hispanic”, so it can’t be racist.
I like the fact that Big Mama will be graduating from high school at age 20 not knowing how to read.
Truly an accomplishment that makes all Americans feel proud.

Hey, cut her some slack. With welfare & foodstamps being paid on EBT cards now, she won’t have any checks requiring a cursive signature on the back. So she’s received the exact level of education that the progressive leftists think is appropriate for her. Hell, they’ll probably give her an Obamaphone also if she doesn’t already have one.
That clears it up some. I still say it sounds as fishy as a tuna cannery.

Cursive no longer belongs in the common core.
To save time, neither do cuniform, hieroglyphics, or calligraphy.
Cursive belongs in the history department curriculum. It is needed to read historical documents.
Cursive is no longer acceptable for most business use today. Even for authorisation identification biometrics is starting to take over. Fifteen years from now a signiture will likely not be enough on a will or a mortgage.
