Well, there’s no such thing as bad publicity, but I would say, “Yeah, backlash.”
Sort of gives you a warm, fuzzy feeling, doesn’t it.
just luv it when the elites get a good case of whoop...whoop...whoopa**
Paula Deen buying her own books to make it look like she has support? Wouldn’t put it past her.
Do you know how many books she'd have to buy to get that high up on the bestseller list? That ain't her, it's the so-called "Crazy @$$ Crackers" who are fed up with the $#*+, the same people who went to Chick-Fil-A and bought Sarah Palin's books. The ones who are buying 75 million firearms and ammo by the boxcar.
I have not been watching hardly any TV so, don’t know how many places that she is gone to now and sobbed and ask for forgiveness. She really needs to get in control of her feelings, thoughts, her life. It was a private comment. The media is using her to make it look as though most white people are racists. We know blacks and hispanics can be racists as well. Look at the media, playing the race card often. Be proud Paula, move on. You apologized.
Shep Smith treated Paula’s epithet as though it were beyond horrible...as did other silly talking heads. Political Correctness or slow news days accounts for such hysteria over slang “reported by someone out to git’er”
Shep is gayer than a Maypole. He has his own issues to deal with.
Don’t care. She doesn’t represent me as a southerner and she has always been a piece of crap.
I think so. We were talking about this at work today. Sure, she used some racial epithets a long time ago. We get it. But the campaign to completely destroy her is starting to rub a lot of people wrong and is beginning to generate a lot of sympathy on her behalf.
Yep! Love me some Paula :)
I never said I liked her, I’m just saying that you can’t buy yourself a place on the bestseller list unless you’re Bloomberg, Soros, Buffett or someone like that. She ain’t got that kind of Wampum. Her getting behind Obama didn’t surprise me. All those “New Southernors” types have to prove how progressive they are.
Perhaps his advances were rebuffed by "that" one of Deen's offspring?
I’d laugh, but I’ve seen her sons.
Crazy Ass Cracker Book Club strikes back!!
Either this is backlash or a race war is coming down the pipe.
Maybe the order from libraries just kicked in, LOL!!!
One can write anything and a million libraries have to buy it and the liberals know this.
I never thought much about it, but the site, and its followers have great gaydar, because one married-with-kids host was fingered as being gay, which I didn't notice, but then I stopped on a show as he put a lip-lock on another male host that George Takei would have envied.
C'est la vie.
I’ve ordered both it and the Southern Cooking Bible. Plus, I’m no longer going to patron any store that dumps her. So long, Wal-mart, Target and Home Depot! (not that I used Home Depot in the first place, just making DOUBLE sure I don’t!)
Abbeville Liberal, you should think about changing your name to something a little more believable. Like the one I chose for you.
You crack me up. I’m about as far right as you can get. The fact that I don’t like Paula Deen and her family is not a reflection of any political persuasion. My posting history reflects that.
Oh yeah. I’ve been around here four years more than you so you can KMA.
Oh yeah. Ive been around here four years more than you so you can KMA.
You can wish...only wish.
As always, Vet: you are the voice of reason here on FR!
I just bought her magazine for the first time yesterday. And I’ll gladly buy a used copy of one of her cookbooks now. Down with political correctness!
