Ann Coulter, who had been one of Gov. Chris Christie's biggest cheerleaders, is a fan no more. She tweeted on Thursday that Christie is "dead" to her after Sen. Jeffrey Chiesa (R-NJ), the Senator whom Christie appointed after the death of Sen. Frank Lautenberg (D-NJ), voted to end debate on the Immigration Reform Bill.

Anne Coulter has been indefatigable on exposing this immigration amnesty travesty and has been doing so in bold terms. She refers back to the early evils of the 1965 Immigration act and the 1986 Reagan era amnesty
As such I support her 1000% no matter any other problems I have with her, they are tiny
Neither does geographic reality. I had a ten minute personal chat with Scott Brown a few weeks ago - total chance meeting. Here is a guy, if he lived in SC, would be far better than Lindsay Graham....but he lives in Mass and Mass voters are not SC voters. I honestly believe he is torn on what to do being from Mass. Our problems are Graham and Cornyn and Chambliss and McCain and Corker and Alexander - much more than they are (were) Brown or even Snowe. Too many conservatives lose sight of that. And while there are principled hills to die on at times....like Mike Castle in Delaware...some hills and some times are not worth dying on. It takes a little bit of grey matter to process this.....and the jerk of the knee is rarely correct.
However, now your judgement is in doubt going forward.

I agree she stayed with Christie to long, and yes I liked Christie a lot at first too. Give Ann credit she got illegal immigration right, and very quickly too. Amnesty is the big one, and she got the big one right. I am happy Ann is once again with us and forgive her.
Her book on mob rule is also brilliant, and her work on the religious left - GODLESS - is even more so. She whiffed on Christie for a long time and her words about Newt and Palin have infuriated me to no end. But she's done a helluva lot for our cause.
Principle matters, I agree. But so does talent....and she has the latter.

Ha! I think you're right. I had bought every single one of her books previously, but didn't buy her last book. Same with my daughter. We often used to buy several copies as gifts for other family. But no more. I imagine we are not alone, and she had to notice that in her numbers.

Norm, you have no immunity from the clutches of Obama and the Dems just because you refused to vote for their opponent. But, since you asked, here is a rundown of the lesser of two evils this week:
Immigration reform: 73% Republicans voted the right way, 0% of Dems and 0% of Independents voted right way.
Voting Rights Act: Kennedy and the court did us a HUGE HUGE favor here....this will be more important long run than DOMA.
DOMA: a disaster, and yet, even Heritage has found some parts of it we can form a fire wall with.
HOUSE: even Boner says Immigration from senate is DOA.
Property Rights; BIG BIG win for property rights in court this week...overshadowed by voting rights and DOMA, but a huge win.
FARM BILL: defetated! In response to our efforts, which, by the way, is how things are supposed to work!
So you see Norm, on your island of purity, the lesser of two evils is often unsavory, but it is, by definition, LESS EVIL than the greater of two evils.
Nope. I skipped her last two. I refuse to support someone I cannot trust, no matter what they print.

She's had plenty of warning. I would bet Ann reads this site - of course I don't know whether she's seen any of my posts, here or elsewhere.
But I've been posting for years, as someone who has seen the real Christie, close-up, in his own neighborhood so to speak, over two decades. He is utterly unreliable, either as a conservative or as a mensch.
Stories abound about Christie's self-importance and "do you know who I am" attitude (from before he became governor) ... stories that would be dragged out and exaggerated by the Left's oppo research teams in the event Christie became a presidential contender.
Glad she's moved on to Ted Cruz, who appears to be the real deal.
That’s why they call it “incrementalism.” The “progressives” have used it with great success for the last ~60-70 years, or maybe you hadn’t noticed.
Back when she was "blowin' to the galleries" about Christie I thought to myself "WHY doesn't she see through Christi's act?
I noticed you wanting more of it as long as it’s a R making the incremental moves to the left.
PS. True Federalism reserves the definition of marriage to the states. Read the decision. The SCOTUS left that largely in place and only addressed marriage from a federal perspective.
