Earlier this year, Jeb Bush told ABC that both his father George H.W. Bush, and brother George W. recommended he run for president in 2016. Mama Barbara Bush is not keen on the idea, declaring in April that the nations probably had enough Bushes.
But in the constantly shifting equations of potential Republican hopefuls for future president and vice president, the former Florida governors name has been tied with another former governor: Sarah Palin.
The pair have now been framed as a the GOPs only chance in the race by American Thinker contributor Michael Sheppard.
Would Jeb Bush have as good a chance, or better, than any other prospective GOP candidate? Most certainly he might. As a popular governor of Florida, married to a Hispanic, and who garnered a good proportion of the Hispanic vote, Bush would be in a strong position to carry the state, he says, reasoning that Mr. Bush, as a southern governor, could also hold sway in Virginia and appeal to Iowa evangelicals and centrist voters in New Hampshire.
Should Hillary Clinton emerge as the Democratic candidate, it could also improve Mr. Bushs electability. Then there is the Palin factor, Mr. Sheppard says. She brings ardent fans with her, of course.
A Jeb Bush/president - Sarah Palin/vice-president ticket covers all the Electoral College, Evangelical, pro-life, centrist-conservative, experienced governorships, male/female bases, he notes.....

I agree that that gives them a "chance", but look what happened the last time when the top of the ticket wasn't any good.
And, frankly, I don't care how good Jeb may or may not be, he suffers from Bad Last Name. And there's only one Last Name that could be worse (and she'll be running against him).
I agree. Her days in elective office are behind her. Palin excels at working behind the scenes and rallying the troops.
As for Bush? Um, no. The GOP needs new blood. I'm really wanting to rally behind Senator Cruz. It seems that I agree with every position he takes.
Love her? LOL You are one of the high-end PDSers. She hasn't been borked at all.
Watch the next year or so -- you will see just how "borked" she is.
In some ways GHWB also “danquayled” Dan Quayle. Those Bushes were outraged when Dan tried to run in 1999/2000. I think he had already withdrawn before 2000.
I will kick that off with 1000 bucks that don’t come real easy as of late so all you need to come up with is 1999000
No that is where you are wrong.
There is a big money which wants amnesty. Big GOP money wants amnesty.
But there is a huge swath of the GOP, also a big supply of money which has been crowded out, and is not currently donating.
THOSE are the people I am referring to.
Palin has those people, they are loyal, and they’ll follow her anywhere.
Even to a new party.
Myself included.
I am currently in the GOP, but will switch parties if Palin does.
I am getting mighty tired of Rove.
I am tired of Amnesty. I am tired of American jobs going to China.
But most of all, I am enthused by Palin.
She has said nothing, to anyone, as long as I have known about here - to change my very strong opinion of her.
Run Sarah.
Mr. Palin, stand beside your strong and beautiful wife, and be with her.
For America.
I’ll do what I can personally, but one of my skills is bundling, which has got a bad name recently. And I’ll talk to you about that donation when she declares. Hahahaha!
If there is a Bush involved, I’m staying home.
The only thing the Gov cannot take away! I ready!
Spoken like a true elitist. A machine? Yea, the two Statist Party machines have almost destroyed this Republic.
If Sarah opts for a true Second Party, then I and millions of others will be on board 1000%....
Hopefully she can help destroy the destructive GOP-e and their dying party: RINOpublican.
LOL.... this must be another Rove fantasy.
I honestly will not vote for a top ticket if it is not conservative. I'll vote for Palin, not for bush period.
So that ticket just doesn't work.
I have no problem with a third party at this point, but don’t get upset if things go south.
If a Bush or Rubio is on a ticket, I will probably stay home.
But I also know if I vote 3rd party, I might feel good, but I will have to accept that that split will be futile at this time.
Our best chance is to win over many young people. That is the task at hand.
TED CRUZ OR SNOOZE!!
Cruz / Palin 2016
Palin/West - take no prisoners!
I am far from an elitist. I am a realist. Reagan was a realist. He planned ahead, way ahead. He took a couple losses and planned. That is the only way to beat them. You don’t beat them with good feelings.
Yes, the dumber the idea, the more the sheeple will applaud it.
How did Reagan plan, considering his choices of GHWB, O’Connor, Kennedy, James A. Baker, III???
I would accept the other way around but I’d prefer Cruz/Palin or Palin/Cruz.
