Rubio's immigration strategy worked brilliantly, but disappointed many

"Menendez told me that Rubio's role was to 'work over the conservative universe, particularly the conservative opinion-maker universe,' in order to 'neutralize them' and, in some cases, 'proselytize them,'" the New Yorker's Ryan Lizza reported recently, referring to Democratic Gang member Robert Menendez. The leader of the Gang, Democrat Charles Schumer, "was delighted to have a Tea Party conservative who could sell an immigration bill to the right," Lizza wrote.

The plan worked brilliantly. Conservative talk radio hosts who might have instinctively opposed immigration reform as conceived by Schumer gave Rubio a respectful hearing and a lot of room. When Rubio told them the bill would secure the border first, they believed him.

Later, when it became unavoidably clear that, in fact, the bill would first legalize millions of currently illegal immigrants, and only after that start the work of securing the border, some conservatives began to express skepticism, disappointment and opposition. But Rubio's neutralization campaign had bought the Gang precious months to write the bill and gather momentum before conservatives began to realize what was actually in it.

I do not comprehend why there is no criminal mechanism to remove a politician from office when they violate their campaign promises to their constituents, when they violate their oath of office, or when they violate the laws of the United States (and don’t tell me about recalls, most of those fail!).

Right now, Rubio and about 500 (at least) of his colleagues in the Politburo (AKA Congress) are all guilty of fraud in one form or another and, yet, we do nothing.

And, to add insult to injury, whaddaya wanna bet that the effort to recall Rubio fails?

Never thought that neutralizing your own team was a valid strategy. I think that is defined as treason.

Rubio better get a good payoff for this one, cause he is toast. My guess is he will not find his early retirement as fun as he thinks. Cause when he leaves office, the scum goes with him. He will forever wake up to the face of a traitor in the bathroom mirror.

As long as Rubio never has to run in another GOP primary, he’ll be fine.

To hell with the Supreme Court! What we need is a citizen board to police the fraud and corruption of our politicians.

Rubio was a willing pawn of Schumer.

That says everything you need to know about this guy.

Ah, but they are atheists. They do not believe that some day there will be an accounting for their actions before a Just God’s Judgment. They are killing, stealing, partying and laughing. Then suddenly will become aware of the cost.

And the cost is eternal. After they see God face to face, their next chapter starts for their eternal story. And its the last chapter.

Obama better enjoy his billion dollar vacation spree on the backs of America now, cause he will repay a thousand times over for every cent stolen from a working man. No jobs in Hell.

No golf either.

It keeps happening because they know that the right will vote for them NO MATTER WHAT as long as they threaten the ‘Democrats are worse!”

No they are not. The dems do whatever they like and the GOP lets them. The FACE of this fiasco was a supposed TEA republican.

THAT is worse.

Know what else is worse? Freepers who keep pushing for more of these liberals no matter what. And there are many.

He’s either a fraud, or he actually trusted the likes of Schumer, which means he’s terminally stupid.

Either way Marco, it’s 6 and out for you.

It only worked if the House passes it which it will not.

Though the House SHOULD pass a bill, just one that puts borders first.
