Actually, she was charged with evading an officer and two counts of assaulting an officer with her car. Never mind that she was scared out of her mind when 6 plain clothes officers jumped her car, tried to smash her windows and pulled a gun on her for what appears to be no reason. Those are in the process of getting dropped but who knows. In these trying times, it could happen to anyone.

Once the charges are dropped, she needs to sue for harassment.

I read about this elsewhere. She basically thought she was getting ambushed and tried to flee. She's lucky to be alive.

I would say it's time to lower the drinking age back to 18 but instead I'll simply say, "welcome to our new police state."

Daly had just left an annual UVA “Take Back the Night” vigil on the famous campus founded by the man who drafted the Declaration of Independence. She was eventually able to explain that she had purchased the water and junk food for a sorority benefit. She also apologized.

She apologized??!! Was it just a case of grammatical politeness, as in "I'm sorry, I'll need your names and badge numbers for the the PD ethics complaint, the civil rights lawsuit, and for my criminal complaint against you"?

The largest, best armed, best financed street gang in these United States just chalked up another victim.

Government bureaucrats with badges, guns and the blessing of the Obama administration terrorizing a female college student on non-existent grounds, then charging her with numerous felonies for simply trying to escape from what seemed to be a dangerous threat to her life. Welcome to Obama’s America, coming to your town, as soon as they can set it up.

The only encounter I've ever had with this sort involved being pulled over on suspicion of impaired driving by a black Crown Vic with tinted windows and only a dash blue light. A guy in a Jeep CJ had been harassing me for miles, speeding up, passing, slowing down, on a six lane surface road with intersections and traffic lights, I was in the center lane, no reason other than being deliberately provocative. After about the fifth time of just moving over and passing then having it happen again I floored it.

Then came Mr. Tinted Windows roaring up behind me immediately and pulled me over. The Jeep CJ turned off at the next intersection and I never saw it again. The man who emerged solo from the Crown Vic was verbally abusive, in ballcap, tshirt and camo shorts, mustache, fairly long hair for a purported policeman. I was on the verge of telling him I'd comply with an actual police officer and rolling up the window when two state troopers arrived, not city police or county deputy sheriffs, mind you. State troopers.

They dismissed Mr. Tinted Windows, who left the scene, and proceeded to give me the only field sobriety test of my life. I had been in a bar, and had been drinking. Matter of fact it had been a bar full of very leftist radicals and I'd argued at length with them. But, I'd eaten, it had been several hours since my last drink and so I was certain I was safe to drive. I was. Blew a .05.

That stop was politically motivated, and I was harassed into creating a pretext to be pulled over. This was over a decade ago. I suppose given the circumstance I was fortunate not to have had my vehicle searched with some damning something “found” so they could seize it. That could have easily occurred.

They've been out of control for far longer than people realize.

It’s too bad the officers didn’t have uniforms. That way they could have been a disgrace to them.

Bear also in mind she had recently been warned about the dangers of sexual assault.

Couple that with six armed men attacking her car, and what do you suppose she thought?

The police knew *exactly* what they were doing.

Fire and incarcerate all seven involved officers (the seventh was a woman).

This wasn’t a case of stupidity.

It was calculated.

The story says it was seven plain clothes agents. Isn’t that a bit of overkill when trying to catch students buying beer?

Good grief. Someone in that agency needs to be disciplined.

Barney, Goober, Gomer, Floyd, Otis, & Earnest T.
Floyd noticed the conspiracy to purchase water right off. Barney told Floyd we have to nip it in the bud. Gomer was heard yelling Citizens Arrest Citizens Arrest. Otis was angered even more when he finally determined the purchase was only bottled water.

A lot of cops (Alcohol control commission) with nothing useful to do. They must get double pay for this nighttime BS. Gov’t jobs!!! It’s all about collecting that paycheck/bennies/pension all else is irrelevant!!!

How dumb and useless can they be???
All you need is one officer to politely check out this college girl
