A speech for all times (Rubio's "Masterpiece")
The Washington Post ^ | June 27, 2013 | Jennifer Rubin

Posted on 06/29/2013 1:49:21 PM PDT by Colonel Kangaroo

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) gave a magnificent speech on immigrants and the meaning of America a few minutes ago. If you tear up and are moved, you understand why immigration reform is so critical. And if you sneer, roll your eyes and disparage his words, then there is nothing any bill or pundit will do to change your mind. Yours, in that case, is a different vision of America than mine.

After recounting the incredible details of his parents’ struggles and immigration he said:

This is not just my story. This is our story. It reminds us that we are “E Pluribus Unum.” “Out Of Many, One.”

I see Rubin is worried about having her wages driven into the gutter while mass hordes of new “citizens” suck the social welfare state dry.

She’s nothing but another beltway elitist.

The Republican party has left us folks. Its our very own “Chicago ‘68”

Rubin: The nuclear option: Why do you need to mess with the Senate rules when a historic bill cleared the body by a huge margin? Keeping the president overseas would do far more to encourage practical deal-making in the Senate.

Wonder if Marco’s speech was in his new “New York ChuckU” dialect?

Poke a fork in him, he’s done.

“Fact is, we are being invaded from Mexico. Truth is, the Mexicans have little interest in assimilating — as evidenced by the plethora of Spanish language TV and radio stations. Conclusion: Rubio is either deluded or deceitful.”

You are correct, across the board.

I take it Jennifer Rubin has absolutely no clue how many third world people would be thrilled to live in the United States - and be grateful for the opportunity. It would be like 200,000 people deciding they're like to ride to work with Jennifer every morning. They could even tell wonderful stories about what a difference she made in their lives. We could all cry with them... and feel so proud.

Unicorns aside, in the real world truthfulness and the correctness of a situation are MORE important than how much emotion a person like Rubio can crank out. When Jennifer grows up, she'll understand.

This is your story Rubio, and you’re too fricken stupid to recognize it.

It’s not E Pluribus Unum.

It’s E Pluribus Unum Mexico

Out of many, one united Mexico

I’m not buying in you ignorant bastard.

” sending every one of these law-breaking miscreants back to where they came from, and confiscating their assets to pay the cost of the ride home.”

Asset forfeiture. A great idea, and it will greatly diminish the allure of sneaking into the USA.

Jennifer Rubin is a ‘former’ Democrat turned RINO, who supported John Kerry in 2004. With “conservatives” like Rubin, who needs Progressives?

If you tear up and are moved, you understand why immigration reform is so critical.

If Rubio were promoting legislation to merely accelerate the applications of the 4 million overseas who are waiting (decades in some cases) to become LEGAL citizens, yeah I would applaud it. But he isn't. Instead he is promoting legislation to IGNORE those people and instead "legalize" 20+ million people who broke our laws to get and stay here, 70% of whom will never even apply for citizenship because they just want to mooch off our economy or welfare system and send most of what they mooch back home.

Rubio and Rubin are supposed to be conservatives. What they want to conserve, I do not know.

Their seats in Congress? Lot of folks in Congress whore themselves out to win the next election, even at the cost of scuttling the country in the long term.

Sorry, Rubio/Paul, but my (great)G-Parents came to the States LEGALLY. How dare you slap their face, and everyone who LEGALLY immigrated to this Country, by allowing the Law breakers special privilege(s).

Let’s do the same for the Congress critters that can’t seem to follow the simple 14440 words of the Constitution.

I don’t know what it’s going to take for conservatives to realise and admit that the Republican party has already been infiltrated, just like the military, Christian churches and orgs, the judicial system, and decades ago, the media and academia. It’s not underway, it’s done. The left has found infiltration to be a very easy and cost-productive tactic, and has used it tirelessly. It doesn’t take long, once the groundwork was laid by the so-called political right moving left on issues as the left moved ever leftward. Anyone who thinks that’s a far-fetched scenario, why? The left has been successful with infiltrating and eventually overturning or neutralising every institution which represented any kind of opposition to them. Why wouldn’t they finally do it with the Republican party, once that party had moved left enough to make it a comfortable fit for their “moderate” or “centrist” first infiltrators?

I have read reports of studies which showed that Latino second and third generations show even more slippage into welfare and “entitlement” lifestyle than the first generation, because of the school low grades and drop-out rates.
