Herman Cain speaks at El Paso County GOP's Lincoln Day dinner
The Gazette ^ | June 29, 2013 | Jesse Byrnes

Radio host and businessman Herman Cain addressed more than 400 Republicans packed into The Antler's Hilton conference room Saturday night for the annual Lincoln Day Dinner fundraiser.

Much of Cain's message focused on conservatives stopping and reversing "Big Brother" control in Washington, D.C., and winning upcoming congressional races.

.....

Cain said that conservatives must "defeat the sluts of the status quo in Washington, D.C." At the end of the day, he said that it all depends on gaining control of Congress. "We've got to look for candidates that are crystal clear for what we stand for."

I’ve always liked him. I hope he joins with Palin and I hope they form a third party. The GOP cannot be saved.

Yeah, I sure miss ol hot-blooded Herman and his not-quite-a-ten tax scheme!!!

No, let's not re-invent the wheel, let's rather chase the money changers out of the Republican "temple/party" and give America back it's freedom of choice... but NOT of the lesser of two evils!!!

I intended to cast my vote for him in the Republican primary however we never got the option. The last thing the power elite wanted was a black conservative candidate who would give the lie to all of the race baiters and the entitlement industry. Having said that I disagree that Congress is the answer. We have seen so many politicians elected because they spoke clearly to their conservative base in no uncertain terms only to totally abandon their principles and get co-opted once they reached Washington. The problem is endemic in the fabric of the Federal government which has been grown by both parties with equal abandon. I honestly can’t fathom any scenario where this juggernaut would ever be re-shackled with the chains designed for it under the Constitution. The enemies of America are inside the gates and have taken hold of the reins of power and the low information voter as a citizen class is on the rise.

I can't believe anyone from California could say that with a straight face.

Let's do reinvent the wheel and allow California to play a part of the primary process instead of BEING FORCED to sucking hind teet and having NO CHOICE except for the lesser of two evils...Any guesses why it's that way?

A good guy, and he did very well until the bimbos erupted. He led all Republican primary candidates in the Real Clear Politics poll average for three weeks, from 10-20-2011 to 11-10-2011.

Hey! It would take 10 times as long and cost a hundred times as much to put together a 3rd party and then we'd have two well established and strong adversarial political parties that would have an even easier time of shutting us out. So forgetaboutit!!!

And by the way, it's spelled teat, not teet... oh wait, the hind one might be spelled that way, who knows???

You must not be paying attention, because they are already shutting us out. They have decided they can win without us by moving to the left.

How do we correct the situation? Our candidates get shot down in the primaries, and they push things like amnesty and ignore the NSA and IRS stuff (or defend it, either publicly or through inaction). We have had a string of moderate/liberal Republican nominees going back to 1988.

"How do we correct the situation?"

Just like we did in 2010 when the Tea Party Americans and all other conservatives got all fired up and motivated and unglued the entire political establishment!!!

Good people got in and learned the basic mechanics of political action and took that action without hesitation!!!

We woke the Dems up in 2006 and they're still motivated over that whuppin we gave 'em! They'll never forget it!! It has turned them into absolute fiends!!!

Now they are about ready to run out of gas and will get rolled!!!
