No Republican would vote for legislation that stifled economic growth, promoted illegal immigration, added to the welfare rolls, and failed to ensure a secure border.

Uhuh.  Meanwhile in reality land, observe the subprime a$$paper that effectively did all of the above.

How's that making the grass grow on W's Ameriquest Field [Ranger Stadium] these days, Jebster?

Maybe Jeb ought to go kiss the feet of Benghazi Hillary again and tell everyone how great and worthy she is. That’ll show everyone how bipartisan he is!

Just like Dole, McaCain, and Romney.

At this point I have no doubt these high profile supporters of "immigration reform" as it is currently being considered are flat-out liars.

They know damn well what the certain result of importing tens of millions of poverty stricken non-english speaking third worlders will be, and they know that while Americans will surely suffer, they think they will somehow personally benefit.

Lots of cheap labor that will keep the Chamber of Commerce types contributing to our campaigns.

THAT is the Republican case for immigration “reform”.

To grow economically, the nation needs more young workers, as the population is aging and its growth is slowing.

The black youth unemployment rate is now something like 40% (in some cities it's close to 50%). One would think that would be a cause for concern, but I guess to Jeb and his WSJ buddies at the country club, those kids simply don't exist...

Actually, Jeb, one-third of Senate Republicans did just that last week. You're just too dishonest to admit such.

Umm, Jeb, you happen to look at youth unemployment recently? It is horrible; less than half of the youth population even indicates it wants a job, a third are bothering to look, and of that third, only 3/4's can find a job.

Is that because businesses are discriminating against youth employment? Nope, it's because the jobs that they would normally start in, the jobs that many Americans started in, are occupied by the vast population of illegals - yard work, scut construction jobs, dish washing, etc. And jobs they might step up into are also occupied by even more illegals - landscaping, framing, table clearing.

And if, let's say amnesty passes, and maybe this time more than 40% of the illegals go on the path to citizenship, they'll occupy the next few rungs of the ladder, giving room to more illegals to occupy the bottom jobs.

To top everything off, if it is anything like last time around, the majority of those who will apply and stick out the amnesty process will not seek to climb the economic ladder, but instead seek to climb the welfare ladder. Any illegal 50 or older would be an utter fool not to get in line to rob us, as of course they will qualify for social security, checks that will continue even if they return to their native countries for retirement.

Jeb, what we need is enforcement of existing laws, to re-open the job market to our youth. We don't need more amnesty, we don't need more direct immigration.

You forgot that the conservative electorate has the ability to think.

Hey Jeb, they just did that in the Senate.

Don’t piss on my leg and tell me its raining.

You and your country clubber pals won’t and don’t have to deal with the crime wave, higher taxes and wage depression this garbage legislation will bring.

Yet they essentially will do just that if they fail to pass comprehensive immigration reform—and leave in place a system that does all of those things.

It does those things because the current laws are not being enforced and with little bammy, are being totally ignored.

So the answer is to create a new set of "laws" that removes the penalties of the old laws and presto, we will then have a "system" that works?

The new system simply makes it totally legal to allow the criminal behavior?

Democrat logic at it's finest...

I’ll risk the flamage due to come my way by saying something positive about Jeb.

My caveat is that I *do not* agree with the current immigration bill and believe that if the House is to do ANYTHING on the subject, it must be a piece meal approach. One bill sent to the Senate dealing ONLY with security. If/when that is resolved in favor of a tightened border and ONLY after that goal is accomplished (that’ll be after the Clown occupying the Oval Office right now is GONE) then we take up the status of current illegals....okay?

Now, with that caveat, I’ll say this for Jeb...he was a very good governor in Florida. He served two terms, did a better job than most governors...and the state only went downhill when the clown Charlie Crist took his place.

Jeb is a decent chief executive, focused in the years since on education, and would be a better president (in my opinion) than his brother.

Although I do concur with most here that dynasties like this are not necessarily healthy for the Republic, and I would like to see a non-Clinton and non-Bush on the ballots next cycle.

I guess I’m just saying Jeb isn’t a demon, that’s all. And I saw him govern.

“Immigrants are more fertile and they love families and they have more intact families and they bring a younger population,” he continued, calling for a more economically focused immigration policy and saying immigrants create an “engine of economic prosperity.”

Jeb, tell that to my triplets, who graduated with HONORS in May, 2012, from their respective universities, in very marketable majors. You see, our “very fertile” family can’t find full-time work, with benefits, but wake up every day at 4am to wait at the pick-up spots where contractors will gab some cheap labor. But my kids never get picked up. In fact, the illegals there openly mock my kids, calling them names like “Gringo”, then laughing and saying things like, “Whats matter, Gringo can no find job?” It’s pathetic.

And what “Skin in the game” has this “President” ever had? Did he serve in the military? Did anyone in his family ever serve? Did anyone in his family ever serve and take a bullet for the USA? The answer is a long and emphatic NO NO AND NO.......

So you are correct, this President has not had any skin in the game that is the US of A, and he does not know or appreciate OUR culture and OUR heritage.
