Obama's War on Coal Goes to the Senate Floor
Town Hall ^ | 7/1/13 | Phil Kerpen

Posted on 07/01/2013 10:30:54 AM PDT by Nachum

So much for the denials. An administration that denied it was waging a War on Coal has now come out and publicly declared its intention to shut down coal-fired power plants - putting hundreds of thousands of Americans out of work and sending electricity prices skyrocketing.

Obama claims he can do it all with no say from our elected representatives in Congress, but his designated point person for the effort, Gina McCarthy, awaits Senate confirmation. Given what we know now, a vote for McCarthy can only be understood as a vote for Obama's very expensive and destructive agenda.

Obama had no greater ally in the deliberate deception than Gina McCarthy. On April 13, 2010 she was asked point blank whether the EPA's power-plant greenhouse gas regulations would require coal plants to switch fuels. She said, "We haven't done it in the past, and there's been good reason why we haven't done it in the past."

“No money appropriated to the EPA shall be used in any way to regulate any aspect of coal fired utilities.”

If I were the coal industry, I’d give “O” the middle finger. Who’s gonna enforce a shutdown should it come to it? The same people who rely on coal to heat their homes in the cold winters?

0bama said he was going to do it, and the "prices will necessarily sky rocket."

One of the few campaign promises he will keep.

[Side bar for democRATs/liberals/Marxists/: What do ya'all think about GITMO now?]

Oh, and wait to you start paying for 0bamacare with the new taxes on your paychecks (house sale, etc.).

Isn't 0bama's foreign policy great? Putin mocks 0bama and his weakness. Not to mention one dead ambassador, three other heroes, and turmoil in the entire ME.

Speaking about mocking, I laugh, mocking you and 0bama to your collective faces.

Stupidity hurts all of us.

When is the House going to impeach this crooked, incompetent, traitor? His decision to allow al Qaeda to our ambassador to Libya certainly should quality as treason because it gave aid and comfort to the enemy.

Obama's War on Coal Goes to the Senate Floor

[sarcasm] Heaven be thanked we can count on the courageous Republicans in the Senate to do the right thing for America! [/sarcasm]

It will put thousands of American power plant workers out of work. It will cripple the economy of the Unites States. But it will not harm the Coal Miners, because China will buy the coal and burn it in very dirty power plants. The abundance of coal as a fuel will cause China to build more coal power plants, and China’s economy will soar. Pollution will increase world wide.

So the only obvious result of this legislation is to transfer wealth to China from America.

The agenda is to weaken America’s infrastructure and keep oil and gas kings of our energy use, for the puppet masters who are arranging their new world order globalist agenda. There are a large number of institutions which still use coal for energy, like my alma mater. I hear the train whistles late at night, delivering coal to fuel the stream plant. Little barry bastard boy has been told to shut down such plants.

“and there’s been good reason why we haven’t done it in the past.”

Of course, the “good reason” was that Zero had not be reelected.

I have a statement Speaker Boehner needs to consider!:

"The House of Representatives will NOT consider ANY Bills sent by the Democrat-controlled Senate UNLESS AND UNTIL 0bama and his cohorts STOP PLEADING THE 5TH OR STONEWALLING INVESTIGATIONS INTO THE IRS TARGETING OF CONSERVATIVES, THE DOJ SPYING ON FOX NEWS, OR ACCOUNTABILITY FOR WHAT REALLY HAPPENED LEADING UP TO, DURING, AND AFTER THE 9/11 ATTACK IN BENGHAZI."

Yep. Keep it simple. That is the plan.
