CNN Guests Wonder If Mysteriously Demoted Zimmerman Detective Will Revive Prosecution’s Case

As the trial of George Zimmerman for the murder of Trayvon Martin resumes on Monday, a CNN panel previewed what is expected to be the testimony of former Det. Chris Serino. Serino interrogated Zimmerman on the night of the murder and is expected to be a key witness for the prosecution. The CNN guests and anchor ntoed that his testimony could reverse the trajectory of this trial.

CNN anchor Carol Costello asked HLN contributor Jason Johnson about the suspicious circumstances surrounding Serino’s recent reassignment and suggested that it may have had something to do with the fact that the former homicide detective was an advocate for the arrest and charging of Zimmerman early on in the investigation.

They played a clip of the recording of Zimmerman’s interrogation in which Serino berated the suspect over his shooting of an unarmed minor.

Criminal defense attorney Page Pate told Costello that Serino’s testimony would help illuminate whether Zimmerman was acting lawfully when he engaged in a fight with Martin.

“If he initiated the fight – if he’s in there throwing punches – just because Trayvon throws a few himself and may even be winning at some point, does not give Zimmerman the right to take out a gun and shoot him,” Pate said.

“But how can you possibly figure out who threw the first punch?” Costello asked.

“That’s where Rachel Jeantel comes in,” Johnson said. “When she claims that she hears the phone drop.”

“Zimmerman had a gun in the chamber,” he continued....

Ummmm...wanna reword that?

I ‘did’ chamber my gun the other night (getting old sucks...doesn’t happen as often as 20 years ago).

But your wording is a metaphor for something I’ll only tell someone just before I break their jaw.

Wordplay...gotta love it.

Absolutely. But to the Left Truth is a mental construct as is reality itself and Truth emanates from Liberal minds and describes the immediate and future world as what they desire that it should be. Truth is the narrative that supports the Liberal view. Facts that do not support it are not True.

Rachel Jeantel says that she heard "wet grass". GZ said that TM jumped him from the bushes.

Was Rachel actualy hearing TM crawling into the bushes for an ambush?

That does not actually pertain. A cop can shoot anyone he chooses so long as he utters the formula, "I felt threatened." By getting the formula right he receives almost instantly a paid vacation and is often praised by his department for heroic actions.

I watched the vids of the testimony. It seems as though the Defense chose the Prosecution’s witnesses or that the Prosecution put them on because they have none that actually support the Prosecution’s fantasy tale. This Prosecutor must worry about his own future for being a fall guy for the political requirements of Social Justice.

’ hungie hungie hippo back on the stand.’

I do believe that it is time for me to have another cultural lesson or two. Do you think that they will axe her to testify again?

The level of cooperation and collusion between the gov’t, the media, Hollywood and the corporations that support rat causes is so evident both in the Martin case and with the Paula Deen situation. The scary part is that they need more Trayvons and Paulas to keep up the illusion that this is a racist nation. Wonder who’s next against the wall?

That CNN panel got badly stuffed by Serino's testimony today.

Remember, he was a witness for the prosecution. He's been the best witness for the defense in the trial so far.

Besides, carrying with a round chambered is the good practice for precisely this scenario: having to draw the gun and not having the other hand free to rack it. The TM fans are saying having a round chambered going into the confrontation shows premeditation. They watch too much TV when all the actors rack their weapons after drawing them from their holsters. For dramatic effect.

“CNN guests and anchor ntoed that his testimony could reverse the trajectory of this trial.”

Hehehehehe. Even CNN is admitting that this trial is not going to their liking.

But I'm angry. Why is this man on trial??

Short answer: Because an expert media manipulator saw an opportunity for fame and fortune.

I didn’t watch today, was out. What happened? Better than Rachel’s testimony?

Well let’s hope CNN puts all their reporters and anchors out there in Chicago, Newark, Detroit, and South LA on location surrounded by and interviewing the rioters. That tactic (Hey, so sorry I’m white but we’re on your side!) has worked well for the female correspondents covering Egypt.

Last thing I heard this detective saying on cross was that Zimmerman did NOT profile Trayvon Martin and the detective believes Zimmerman was telling the truth,

Serino inferred that he was pressured

He didn't infer it. He implied it. You inferred it.

Of course he had a gun in the chamber. He has a gun that fires MORE GUNS!

Seriously, we’ve not only reached “Idiocracy.” We’ve passed them!

I would put Cerino on the stand, hand him the pistol, and ask him, Sir, would you show the jury the safety?

I’ve got a Springfield with an external safety and a M&P without an external safety. Since this case, I’ve been thinking about which one I should carry.
