Know what really works like a charm for weight loss? Exercising and eating less. It’s the magic formula. I lost 22 lbs in four months that way.

The problem is inactivity and overeating. Diet and processed foods are a huge problem. But if this is a disease, it’s caused by consumerism and federal welfare.
Back in the early 90’s I worked at Safeway. Mothers brought in WIC cards for milk. People paid for foodstuffs with paper food stamps. There was a built-in humility that made people want to avoid the situation.
It’s the same humility that could have held single parenthood in check. Well, if no-fault divorce wasn’t possible.

Just eating less works too. I’ve done it . no exercise. I know the media is pushing the exercise thing.

I’ve lost exactly 40 pounds since the first of the year ( started at 222 and now I am 182 ). My secret ? I gave up beer and soda and stopped stuffing my face with food. I don’t exactly eat healthy but just eat less than I used to. I make better choices for sure. Instead of a Big Mac I just get a plain cheeseburger. Instead of the honey bun for breakfast I choose a granola cereal and some yogurt. Simple stuff... It’s made a huge difference and the weight is still coming off !

I tried that and actually made some good progress until I plateaued. Then I went to a low-carb diet and immediately started losing again. Whatever the case, once you hit a certain age and a certain level of weight gain, exercise alone doesn't cut it; you've got to lower the caloric intake as well.
