SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — State demographers estimate that whites and Latinos are now an equal share of California's population, with Latinos poised to become a plurality by early next year.
Latino leaders planned a modest rally Monday at the state Capitol to mark the milestone, which researchers at the state Department of Finance had previously projected would be achieved mid-year.
"At this point, the numbers are very, very close," said Bill Schooling, head of the demographic research unit of the State Department of Finance. He said officials do not plan to estimate the exact date when Latinos begin overtaking whites, but they are expected to become the state's largest ethnicity in early 2014.
Whites and Latinos each comprise about 39 percent of California's population after a long-running demographic shift that already has altered state politics, the economy and culture.
Monday's rally was intended to mark the occasion and remind state lawmakers of Latinos' increasing clout, said Orlando Fuentas, president of the Latino Democratic Club of Sacramento.

Problem not limited to CA. Texas not far behind. We’ve seen this in Europe as well with their native populations declining vis a vis immigrant groups in that continent. The problem is very simple. White populations across the globe are ageing and have low birthrates.

I’ve stated this before here. The more they come in, the more freebies they take out. The real people propping up the state are the rich guys, especially the Jews.
Since the Dems decided to create another victim group they can provide with minority business set asides and affirmative action. There are non-Hispanic whites and Hispanic whites (Hello, George Zimmerman.)
So then Whites should take their place on the hierarchy of victimhood.

In just a few more years, after all of the Chinese have been moved into the houses bought for cash, the Asians will be the plurality.
Mexifornia will soon be Chinafornia.
I hope California can serve as a magnet for invading illegal hordes much the way San Fransicko serves as a magnet for perverts.

Whatever helps minimize their presence on the east coast.
It was estimated a decade ago that 1 in 8-10 people living in America was illegal. One can only imagine what that ratio is today. Expect the number to flip after amesty for all. Wanna bet the Mexicans will be wishing they hadn’t pushed this when they’re kicked out by middle easterners in 5 years?

It means they are literate enough and have a knowledge in anthropology.
Hispanics aren’t a race but ethnicity and they are predominantly Caucasian.
But they have no problem being considered an aggrieved minority that deserves special rights and entitlements.
Yeah, but I wonder what % refuses to check the ‘hispanic’ box in order get bennies?
