Since the revolution has not yet begun, we are in a pre-revolutionary state. Unless you mean Obama’s fundamental change revolution, that is; it is more than halfway there.

No.

It’s pretty comical that people write articles about the possibility of an actual second armed revolution in this country. It’s even more comical when people here think it may actually happen.

Seriously folks? You ACTUALLY expect an armed conflict to overthrow our government?

If so, I’ve got bridges (plural) to sell. Yes, this country’s politics have shifted - negatively in my opinion. Yes, Obama is a nightmare. But we are still very, very, very far away from the lawless nightmare states like Syria, Egypt, and (fill in your example here)

These sort of articles are preposterous.

Not to mention the global meltdown after the worlds biggest economy (yes, still us!) completely collapses.

“Whatever happens, this country could very well break-up into smaller nations.”

Right. Cause that worked well last time.

I seriously doubt the DHS actually took delivery on 700 million rounds in ONE YEAR. I would like to see the line item in the appropriation bill that authorized that. I believe it was just the award of an IDIQ contract for “up to 700 million rounds over the next five years” (or for whatever time frame the IDIQ was for). BUT I GET YOUR POINT AND AM NOT ARGUING THAT.

Baaa, Baaaa, Baaaa,Baaaa. The sheeple have spoken by their silence. There will be no resistance here, as it should have happened already in a Nation of people who value their Freedom.

Revolution are also peaceful. What took place in Eastern Europe is proof of that.

Well, we can look at the entire history of our country as being one long, slow revolution, but I'm not sure that that's what is being meant by revolution in this article. What revolutionary changes are being proposed? If the 2016 election is won by a GOP establishment candidate, does that qualify as a revolution? How about if a woman like Hillary wins? Not in my mind.

What do most people mean by revolution in the context of the USA? Not much, I suspect.

By and large, conservatives are apathetic

Nope. Some of us have simply decided to shrug, or to borrow a phrase from Tom Baugh, we've chosen to starve the monkeys.

It’s a bit early to start selecting candidates, unless there is more at work.

Such as a re-alignment of parties.

I currently put the odds of Palin running in 2016 at over 50%. And her support will be huge.

However there is more at work possibly, that whether she will run.

I think what is currently being contemplating, is whether she will run in the GOP, or with a new third party.

Couldn’t tell you for sure. But that is the feeling I get. And a (whole) lot of FReepers seem to be enthusiastically also, waiting to find the answer to that.

If she’s moving to a new party, she needs to start soon. Before she does however, the party platform will need some significant details FIRST.

I put the odds she is currently contemplating a third party run at maybe 25%.

If she does though, it will be relatively soon.

Just what does a modern revolution look like? We may one day see a collapse in our economy, civil unrest, riots, etc. I doubt we will ever see a sustainable / meaningful revolution. That is more likely individual fantasy, reality being it is not a winnable fight.

Unless Barak Obama suddenly declares himself Emperor of the US we will not witness a Conservative uprising against the states, nor will we witness mass succession from the union.

As for those looking to Sarah Palin ... put a fork in her. She has a few rabid supporters and little else in political clout.

Already underway. We have a standing U.S. Senator openly calling for the abolishment...let me repeat that for emphasis...the abolishment of the IRS. The U.S. constitution, Amendment 14, Section 4: a"The validity of the public debt of the United States, authorized by law, including debts incurred for payment of pensions and bonuses for services in suppressing insurrection or rebellion, shall not be questioned." Fork. In. The. Road. Whereas, I've not heard any strident voices in opposition around here, it would seem to me Texas has made its choice.

Sarah Palin's opportunity was 2012, and she passed. No doubt she has a few rabid fans, but you are living in a fantasy world if you think she has the clout to start a serious 3rd party run.

The Revolution has been cancelled so that the Network can bring you “Dancing with the Stars!”

Really.

As long as TV signals and cable continue to flow, there will be no revolution...

Not if Palin is advocating for America.

That is what I wait to see. Whether Palin runs, and whether she takes a stand.

Waiting... :D
