(Sometimes you need 7+ more ammo. LOTS MORE.)

These included a self-loading handgun, a sawn-off shotgun, a semi-automatic handgun with silencer, a rifle, a pump action shotgun, a Ruger .22 rifle, a Glock handgun and a military-issue light support weapon.

It’s great to be an American! I have much more than all of that. I’m free, he’s going to prison. Thank you, General Washington for running off the redcoats!

During a comprehensive search of the house:
a self-loading handgun
a sawn-off shotgun
a semi-automatic handgun with silencer
a rifle
a pump action shotgun
a Ruger .22 rifle
a Glock handgun
a military-issue light support weapon
An array of ammunition was also found including magazines and a range of bullets.
Detective Chief Inspector Chris Downey, based at Swinton CID, said: "Gribbin's hoard was an astonishing array of weaponry the likes of which we rarely see."
"We might never know the full story behind how Gribbins came to have such a stash of guns, but we all know these weapons have two primary aims - to threaten or kill.
"Today's sentence hands out the strongest possible message - if you harbour illegal guns, in whatever guise, and we find out, you are guaranteed to be sent to jail for a significant portion of your life."
I would wager, this guy has had these weapons for a long time. Having had them a long time, it's not very troubling to me that he has them. He has had them, and they have been kept out of the hands of people who would have done something bad with them. So what...
This sentence says, "We are perfectly willing to put our citizen in prision, if we change our laws to make a law abiding citizen a criminal by doing nothing at all." That is not good legislation. This man is not a criminal.
Here's one side slapper. Take a look at those weapons. They are mostly petty weapons. This isn't a large cache of miliitary style weaons. Where's the AK-47 the mix? Where's the European Kalishnakov? Where's the sniper rifle? This guy is a duffer. He's about as dangerous as a 1960 Vauxall. Quick, pass legislation, haul in anyone who still owns one of them. Give 'em 20 years hard labor if it's a day!
After looking at what types of guns this guy had, read that comment by the CID Chris Downey. "Gribbin's hoard was an astonishing array of weaponry the likes of which we rarely see."
This guy should turn in his badge. It's his duty to enforce the law, but that comment looks like something a young school-girl would make.

Thanks Knarf.
California has done this same thing. They keep lowering the bar on so many guns that were perfectly legal twenty years ago. Now you’ve got a lot of people in the state who could be dealt with in the same manner.
Are those people a problem? No. You never hear of them getting into trouble. None the less, if one is found, he’ll likely go to prison. And for what?
We’re letting real criminals that are a threat out of prison every do due to early releases ordered by the courts.
Now, let’s disarm the citizenry. It’s a shame what is taking place in our homeland.

I've probably got more than that stashed here in the kitchen/office (except for the silencer). If you know how many you have, you don't have enough.
As far as ammo, my ex once asked why I was buying some particular ammo and did I have a firearm to match it? I told her a) I didn't really know, but the ammo was a good deal b) If I didn't have the matching firearm, I would just get one. ;)
