Surprised?????? Something is in the Republican water for sure.
We don’t need a path to citizenship, we already have a friggin’ road. Read the map and follow the directions and you’re there!
Argh, another one bites the dust.
I knew it... he is not one of us.
LLS
Uht-Oh!
The hits keep coming. Not surprised at this rate.
I don’t understand what is behind politician’s thought that there is some great big roadblock to citizenship in our country.
And another one bites the dust...sigh.
Walker endorses path to citizenship
FReep Mail me if you want on, or off, this Wisconsin interest ping list.
I think we all endorse a path to citizenship, its just how we get there that is in contention. But this article specifically says that Walker favors the Senate Bill. I don’t agree with him on that.
good bye, Scott. We thought we knew you.
Rubio and now Walker. What difference does it make anymore? I hate to say it, since it was written by a commie, but there are parts of What's the Matter with Kansas? that ring true. The "Mods" campaign as "Cons" and say all the right things. But when push comes to shove, their true loyalties to the crony capitalists are revealed.
The list of real Patriots is rapidly narrowing to Governor Sarah Palin, Senator Ted Cruz and Congressman Louie Gohmert, among a select array of others. And Tom Tancredo is looking a lot better given the existential crisis that the illegal invasion of America presents. The Obama cabal continues to encourage these criminals and their third-world families to swarm across the Mexican border.
There is a path to citizenship. The path we offer is the most generous in the world. Many people follow our path.
Unfortunately many do not follow that path and they ignore our law. Of those that do not 60-70% are Mexican.
Why should Mexicans be allowed to violate our law? Why should they be favored over all other foreigners? Why should any illegal alien, Mexican or not, be favored over those who follow our law?
Why should border security be conditional? Why are politicians making political demands as a precondition for implementing the border security required by law?
Enforce existing law.
Votes and “diversity” matters to those who don’t have to deal with the downsides. It’s much easier to deal with the negatives when they are not a part of your life.
People who love cheap labor to a large degree fund this party. We may actually come eye-to-eye with the Ralph Nader types on public financing at some point. Strange bedfellows.
This is very hard to understand.
Many elected officials are acting as if this scum is somehow OWED something by us. Of all the people on the Earth to whom Americans might arguably owe something, the illegals from Mexico are last on the list. Dead last.
Can anybody here give me a coherent, or even semi-coherent, rationale for why “we” have to “do something” (besides rounding them up and deporting them)?
It is beyond time to let the GOP wither on the vine.
In an email, a spokesman for Mr. Walker said the governor hasnt endorsed the Senate bill, nor any other specific policy or legislation. He said: Governor Walker recognizes that we have a broken immigration system, and while he hasnt endorsed a specific policy, the Governor believes this is an issue that must be addressed.
Report: Wisconsins Scott Walker Endorses Path to Citizenship.(WSJ blog)/
Walker doesn't have a clue about immigration. We take in more immigrants annually than the rest of the world combined. The U.S. adds one international migrant (net) every 36 seconds. Immigrants account for one in 8 U.S. residents, the highest level in more than 90 years. In 1970 it was one in 21; in 1980 it was one in 16; and in 1990 it was one in 13. In a decade, it will be one in 7, the highest it has been in our history. And by 2050, one in 5 residents of the U.S. will be foreign-born.
We have 22 million Americans who are underemployed or unemployed. Do we really need more immigrants? Does Walker understand that these "long waits" are a product of the need to set some limits on the numbers who enter each year so they can be assimilated? Immigration to America is a privilege, not a right. We need an immigration policy that serves our national interests, not just the needs and desires of the immigrant.
You had to know it was coming after his sellout on the obmaneycare medicaid expansion after saying he was going to fight it.
There was a time when cotton plantations relied on slaves.
You’ve GOTTA be FLIPPIN’ kidding me...
