The North Carolina Senate Wednesday approved new restrictions on abortion after adding them at the last minute to an unrelated bill on Sharia law.
Angry abortion-rights activists looked on from the gallery and chanted "Shame" in the hallway outside, The (Raleigh) News and Observer reported. One woman who yelled "shame on you" in the gallery was arrested.
"This is an atrocious, shameful bill," Sen. Earline Parmon, a Democrat, said. "It's about dictating to women about very personal medical decisions that should be left to a woman and her doctor. This is going to cause more back-alley abortions whether you want to admit it or not."
Activists say the bill, if it becomes law, would force all or almost all clinics in North Carolina to close. Under the measure, abortion clinics would have to meet the same standards as outpatient surgery centers, and doctors would have to be present when women use medication intended to induce abortion.

To bad they couldn't bring the unborn baby into the decision making process.

This is how you bankrupt the murder mill. Make it too expensive to operate.
In Texas, the ungodly chanted “Hail, Satan!” God is not smiling.
Gee, I would think women would want it that way. I wouldn't want to have a surgical procedure (which abortion is) in a sub-standard operating room.
This is going to cause more back-alley abortions whether you want to admit it or not.
Cause and effect thinking is far beyond the average leftist extremist.
Back alley abortions might be better than the “abortion butchers” of Philadelphia, Houston, etc.
This ought to give them something to think about besides guns and Mexicans.
So how many Democrats voted for infanticide? All of them?
So? Drug users and dealers do their business their. Abortionists would for once be in honest company.
“North Carolina Senate approves new restrictions on abortion”
Good.
Dems are on the warpath over this but I think its clever, certainly better than 2012 and GOP.
They changed the framing rhetoric to ‘women's health care safety’ regarding this abortion bill.
Like Marsha Blackburn saying that the House abortion bill rape exclusion requiring reporting the rapes was ‘to try to track down and prosecute all those rapists’
I like this. This is fighting like Dems do, which means actually fighting not swinging in the wrong direction.
‘Womens health safety’
‘Track down those rapists’
This just did more for "women's health" than anything the abortion industry is ever interested in doing.
