He was attacked ruthlessly.

Because the RINOS lost, they go crawling off to the enemy to ask them why.
And the enemy wisely gives them bad advice, and, being stupid RINOS they fall for it.
I supported Romney because I felt he was better than Obama
I will NEVER vote RINO again. I will only vote conservative, and, if the GOP is stupid enough to believe they can win elections by running Democrat Lite, the GOP deserves to die. And I in my own little way will help tfhe process withmy vote.

It wasn't the attacks on him that did it, he pretty much had a disastrous bunch of early debates. I think he hurt himself with his "heartless" comments, and from what I understand, his early ramblings were from his back surgery pain killers. Unfortunately, the rambling did him in. He was much sharper in debate just before he had to get out due to low polling and no traction.
By then it was too late. I do think he would have done a lot different in the voters eyes had he done well earlier.

Yes - that rings a bell. However delivering a speech is nothing like responding in a presidential debate. I wasn’t that impressed with him in any of the debates. He always had a deer in the headlights kind of look. Maybe it was pain meds. If so thats a shame.

Does anyone around here honestly think it would have made ANY difference who dinglebarry's opponent was? I don't. I think the fix was in.

Somewhat irrelevant. Romney could have doubled his level of Hispanic support and still lost. And none of the GOP candidates would have received enough Hispanic votes to make a difference. The difference-making votes were with other demographics. I have become resigned to the fact that this country isn’t white enough to defeat a hipster, Marxist, half black community organizer.

It was a lot of things.
I admit he was not ready for prime time, but he is the real deal.

Well, just look at the stats. How many voters just stayed home? And most of them were white. The lesser of two evils just doesn’t turnout the would be republican voters.

We've had RINO's walk through the primaries, winning with small numbers while conservatives beat themselves up with smaller, divided numbers. I am hoping for the scenario where we have multiple RINO's beat each other up: Jeb, Christie, and Rubio, while we choose an early conservative to walk through the field.
We'll see who declares when the time comes, if we make it to 2016, we might catch a break if we get a good conservative to ride while the three RINO's divide the vote. I think it might line up that way. It would be great if it did, and about time.

You’re right about that. It had absolutely nothing to do with the hispanic or black vote. Statist Romney could not turnout the base.

I did like him to begin with...but boy, did he show his stripes.
Yep, I remember the antics from Cain and Newt. I went with Newt for a while because he seemed the likeliest of the ones left, but I have never been under any illusions about the guy.

Do you believe the “stats”? Exactly who are the people that compile those “stats”? By diddling with those “stats” in certain districts in key swing states the electoral votes go for obama. I don’t believe them. I think the fix was in.

If Romney’s trying to apologize now, what’s his motive?
A re-entry into politics?
He’s DEAD, Jim.

Could be, but the stark reality is the big government statist GOP-e candidate just could not turn out the vote in large enough numbers to overcome the fraud. If they run another big government statist in 2016, the results will be the same.

Well after the show Rubio and Ryan have been putting on lately I have thoughts any candidate the Pubies put out won’t be anything but another big government shatist no matter what kind of shine they put on.
