Tell the House to KILL the Senate's Immigration BILL
FREE REPUBLIC | July 5, 2013 | Lakeshark & onyx

Posted on 07/05/2013 7:07:40 AM PDT by onyx

Dearest FReeper-Patriots-FRiends,
Hey Y'all

The GOP House must KILL the Senate’s Immigration BILL, and the time for us to act is now. Today, tomorrow, this coming week!

Like Rush said on Wednesday, Free Republic was the Tea Party before there was a Tea Party”.

The House is the last stop between Amnesty and saving our Republic.

We have been told that the House Leadership will meet on or about July 10, 2013 to decide on how they’re going to deal with the “Senate’s Immigration Reform Bill.”

They are caught between big money interests and the will of the people, meaning us, those they represent.

We know the House must be our firewall to prevent this odious bill from going to reconciliation.

There are two ways it can be passed. First they can bring up and debate the Senate bill, then vote on it. That’s the least likely way it will happen, they won’t dare do this.

The other way it can happen is to fashion a bill that sounds goods, paying homage to even stricter border security, or some such bilge that will never be enacted.

If they do that, or anything at all with the illegal immigration issue this term, it will go to conference and be reconciled with the Senate bill.

Some of you have already had some luck with your representatives who are sympathetic to our conservative cause. A lot of people are calling and writing, asking their congressman to tell the House leadership to just say no to any debate and to any bill in any form.

There are strong signs the calls are beginning to have a positive effect. It’s vitally important now, for all of us to burn up the phone lines, burn up the fax lines, and e-mail our representatives and the House leadership to KILL the Senate’s BILL.

All of us must do our part and also ask our families and friends to the very same, even if our US Representatives are not on our side and likewise regarding the US Reps of our families and friends.

Calls and e-mails count!

A couple of points you might want to get across:

1. Remind them of how the Senate and the House were lost to democrat leadership after the last attempted betrayal on illegal immigration.

2. Remind them (nicely and passionately) that we are perfectly capable of replacing them once again should they repeat their mistake.

3. Remind them that this bill is bad for America, bad for the economy, and bad for the workers of this country.

4. Remind them we are a party of ideas, not pandering. The idea that we will be liked more for passing the Senate bill or any kind of amnesty bill is untrue; actually it’s media and democrat driven.

5. Ask them not to bring up the matter for debate, not to bring ANY bill that could go to conference with the Senate. No bill, no conference, just say no! This is not something the American people want.

Call your Rep, fax them, and for sure, email them.

Call the House leadership, fax them and email them.

We have no more than a week to do this. It’s now or never for us to make our stand. Ask your congressman to take his/her stand.

Link to all the phone, faxes, and emails for every Congress Member .

Have at it.

Speaker Boehner is playing games with his link. Try as I have, I can't live link his e-mail form like I did last week. Here it is for you all to cut and paste into your browsers:

Office of the Speaker H-232 The Capitol Washington, DC 20515

Speaker's Phone: (202) 225-0600

Fax: (202) 225-5117

Thanks so much, everyone!

God bless and keep you all.

Let’s get this done right away!

We so pray!

With enough heat, calls, e-mails, faxes etc., the House will get our message.

They’re our last stand and they know it.

contacting House members over turned that awful Farm Bill, and it’s also been why the House is on the verge of the right thing here....

I heard Ted Cruz talking aobut how the calls, letters, etc. really do work, it's what killed the farm bill and the gun bill. Tokyo Rove has a lot of influence, brings a lot of donations to the table, we can't hang back while he gets his nose under the tent (or other nefarious places).....

...yep, and I was shocked we over turned that awful Farm Bill.....very encouraged also. This stuff does work! (not always, but then again, 100% is a rare situation in life).

Up near the top of the "Contact Congress" link, is this...

¿Quiere ponerse en contacto con miembros del Congreso en Español?

John Wayne would be mad as hell, and I know I am!

Both my RINO POS Senators responded to my e-mails about amnesty with their typical Washington doublespeak, and voted in lock step with the Dims. Will be contacting my Congressman today, from whom I expect an actual willingness to stand up for the people who elected him.

We need to absolutely overwhelm House members with our insistence on a resounding NO to giving a free pass to all the prospective unregistered Democrat voters.

If he is supportive, remind him: No bill, nothing that could ever go to Conference with the Senate Bill. Best to not even bring it up for debate, just let it die.

I reminded him we didn't want ANY BILL that had a chance of being reconciled with the Senate Bill in conference, and he understood.

KILL THE BILL! I was encouraged, and hope to send my letter to Boehner's office and leave him a message as well.

Absolutley KILL THE BILL! Give the amnesty lovers nothing to work with.

While you’re talking to them, tell them the “enforcement” provisions are a joke. If Obama can unilaterally waive the employer mandate provisions of ObamaCare he can do the same with Rubio’s vaunted “enforcement”.

Nice idea, but when you have a RAT for a congressman (Yarmuth) there isn’t much you can do. When I called my congressman to tell him not to support the immigration monstrosity, they hung up on me. All the congressional and senate e-mails are set up so you can’t contact someone unless you live in their district.

My e-mail to my Congressman...

Dear Congressman Duncan,

Unlike our two Tennessee Senators, who all to often seem in lockstep with the Obama administration, you have always impressed me as a man willing to stand firmly for the conservative principles that are the bedrock of America's greatness.

The will of the people across America, and here in Tennessee, should not be ignored just to pander to a vocal minority. Let's face it, what the Senate has proposed is nothing but a free pass for millions of lawbreakers, while giving lip service to tightened border security and other eye candy that they think will fool the people. We are NOT amused!

I urge you in the strongest possible terms not to even consider the Senate travesty. Too often we have seen supposed good legislation enacted, and then watched as the executive branch totally ignores and circumvents anything in the law that they don't like. DON'T give them the chance!

Stop this insanity in its tracks. Secure our borders. Tell immigrants there has been a legal pathway into our country for years, and it doesn't involve sneaking across the border at 2 AM in the back of a U-Haul truck.

I am watching this issue closely, and look forward to your leadership in preventing this travesty.

Respectfully, XXXXXXXX

Just used your pasted link to send a message to the Speaker.

Do not know who in his office will read it, but I assure you they will not mistake my meaning.

This is the most critical issue of the Twenty-First Century for America. Its importance cannot be overstated. Fundamentally, what is at stake is whether the Constitutional Republic is there for the rooted citizenry & their posterity (progeny) or for the world at large. It is obviously insane, if the primary interest is the citizenry, to be importing millions who do not even share our or a similar culture, at a time when many millions of rooted citizens have dropped out of the labor force because of various phenomena that are certainly not being addressed by the Schumer/McCain/Graham betrayal.

I saw a blog that asked the following question:
If Obama can violate Obamacare law to delay enforcement in healthcare, what’s to stop him from delaying implementation of (conservative) portions of the upcoming amnesty bill?
