sorry, bad link: I Love Sarah Palin, But.. Her writing drives me crazy. Every sentence she composes or utters in real-time is a convoluted mess of subordinate clauses. Every idea introduced gives way to a meandering aside, a parenthetical thought, an overwrought allegory, a call back to another argument from another day. http://www.citizen5408.com/2013/07/i-love-sarah-palin-but.html

I must say your idea is brave.

You’ll catch some heck on FR with your Condi Rice idea, but I’m for that ticket 100%.

Condi Rice is a PC, neocon Rockefeller type Republican for starters.

One thing I still remember is her trashing of Israel as Secretary of State. The Israelis responded to terrorist attacks from Gaza with military strikes and there she was condemning them.

El Rushbo and other conservatives expressed their shock at the whole matter and the W Bush Administration toned down. the comments.

Why shouldn’t we have been shocked????

This was a few years after 9/11 and the US was certainly using military force against terrorists. Why shouldn’t Israel be allowed to do so was our argrument? Condi Rice thought they shouldn’t.

And Condi was all excited about the “Arab spring” in Egypt as well I recall......

“Sara Palin...Her love of country is as clear as a winter’s day. She has all the attributes of a leader”

What more could we ask for?

Sarah Palin; Smart, pretty, empathetic, and hopefully not out of the game. I still say a Palin/Condi Rice ticket could save the Republic. Both scary smart, both committed BOTH MINORITIES, Both seasoned. Somebody tell me what’s not to like about this Idea. Heck give Bolton secretary of state, and FIND SOME ISLAMIKAZI KILLIN’ GENERAL for defense and let ‘er roll.

I greatly admire Condi but I don't think she is pro-life. That is a MAJOR reason to exclude someone from political office, for me. I also admire Palin, but I think she needs to be more than a used-to-be mayor and partial, one-term governor. She would be a good choice for the veep position again if someone like Ted Cruz or Paul Ryan were running for prez. As much as I like her and agree with pretty much all she believes, I do not think she is ready for a presidential run just yet. She's 1000% better than Obama, but he at least had a few terms as state senator and U.S. senator in his resume'. Looking at 2016, the Demoncrats are readying a few "seasoned" politicians to run and try to keep the White House. I pray that they crash and burn, that 2014 gives Conservatives a majority in the Senate and House and 2016 is ripe for a true American that loves this country and wants us to be great once again.

Just exactly how are Paul Ryan and Ted Cruz ready for the job as president? They have ZERO administrative experience while Palin has an impressive resume in that regard.

Cruz and Ryan are reliable, as far as I know, Conservatives that have favorable name recognition and are currently serving in the United States Congress - getting things done. Palin was on the national stage five years ago and has gotten nothing but rotten and biased press coverage since then. I have nothing against her but I don't think we can be naive and assume all of the voting public will be gung-ho about her being THE President. I'm being realistic here. However, IF she is the nominee, I would have no problem voting for her.

I like Cruz an Ryan where they are right now. As far as “getting things done”, other than bluster, I haven’t seen much results in that area. They need re-enforcements. No matter who gets the nomination, they’ll all get the Palin treatment. They’ve got to be tough enough to take it. Again, Palin’s proven her mettle. The verdict is out on the others.

have never been much of a Palin fan but DAMN

NO ONE is saying these things except Sarah

good for her

“America, we shall not go there! Why? Because if we know from our nation’s forefathers that weariness is not in our blood! It’s not in our DNA to retreat.”

it’s all very nice and stirring but I still want to ask

what exactly are we supposed to do?

Absolutely. Palin is painful to read. She gets away with it (for the most part) when speaking, but she writes like she talks, and then we end up with word-salads like the above.

She obviously doesn’t want the job or she would already have tried to get it-whether she could win or not is another matter

(I don’t think she could but she still is a force to be reckoned with)

She resigned from office. She failed the test. Retreat IS in her D.N.A., apparently, despite her claims to the contrary.
