Train derailment in eastern Quebec sparks explosions, major fire

A train carrying crude oil derailed in the town of Lac-Megantic, Que., early Saturday morning, sending giant flames into the air and prompting a mass evacuation. At least 1,000 residents have been evacuated from their homes in Lac-Megantic, which is located about 250 kilometres east of Montreal.

A number of the train’s 73 cars exploded, causing a fire that spread to several of buildings in the community.

No one was on the train during a shift change. The cars rolled down hill to the center of town and derailed. Brakes were faulty, supposedly.

And prior to railroads was rivers. Canada’s major population centres are on the banks of major rivers, or lakes.

...t’s possible up to 100 people could be missing, although he said it is difficult to pin down an exact number...

Yeah, a lot of frenchies from that area visit Saco, Maine over the fourth, a long tradition.

All day Sunday, not a mention in the MSM. 2 people die in SF plane crash and wall to wall coverage. 60 people die in oil train explosion and MSM silence.

We can’t report on any story that makes the king obama look bad. i.e. oil pipeline avoidance
