After some study on the matter over these last many years I have come to the very ungenerous conclusion that the only really truly very good thing about FDR is that he died.
He was made into an icon for the Depression era people. My elders simply loved him. Especially my mother. Dad, not so much.
” American voters will smarten up pretty quickly. And they will graphically disprove the Democrats belief that the American electorate is stupid.”
If by chance this actually happens, I fear it will be too late. Laws need to be repealed, unearned entitlements need to be revoked, people need to be re-educated as to what America really was, those kicked off welfare need to be taught a work ethic, illegals need to be run out of the country. Traditional standards of ethics, character, and morals need to be re-established. And what about the national debt?
With the Dems and RINO’s in charge for who knows how long, none of this will turn around. It’s all about party power and UN-American ideology, and screw traditional American values and the Constitution.

And he's bio-degradable, so there's that.
We have the actually Soviet Party Congress goals for America, which list the things to do to destroy our culture. We have the live example of what Putin is passing laws to prevent in Russia, things which are on the list for plans to destroy America. BUT the American people are too ignorant (in the sense of uneducated, by design and complicity of the enemy, the media) to see the reality right before their bread-and-circuses eyes. Hell, most members of the Black Caucus in Congress are aslo members of the Communist Party USA! And still the fool voters in their districts keep returning them to Congress for the assassination of the Republic!
No way. There certainly will be a Perfect Storm, but little, if any, of it will be blamed on Obama. The MSM and the moochers just won't allow it. I don't even think Obama will get blamed when Obamacare collapses.
So who will get blamed for the Perfect Storm? In no particular order: the Republicans in Congress, George Bush, the "rich", "greedy" bankers
The United States of American went off the tracks when they allowed non land owners to vote. We have been on a pathway to failure since people who have no skin in the game have voted to empty the treasury. 17 trillion in debt hundreds of trillions in future liabilities means only one thing , printing dollars until we default. When the world stops taking dollars the game is over.
The demented rahgeads in Egypt are in the streets because they have no cash and nothing to eat, and the demented Americans who vote for marxists to rob the productive class will do the same thing once the freebies run out.
Gonna take a while though, there's still Trillions in 401 K's that the CPUSA and the DC apparatchiks have yet to steal.
Contrast that with America's dithering since 1945. Korea, Vietnam, the Gulf wars, Afghanistan.
So I give credit where credit is due. FDR was not a perfect wartime leader. But he was a very good one.
Somebody needs to make an App for that. LOL.
Waking up and doing something about it is two different things and still believe at least half of Americans are ignorant and will lose so much more and never blame themselves. Most Americans are like children and never grew up.
They elected Obama did not they? Nothing further concerning their intelligence needs to be said.
Not to say that I disagree with it, but this is about the most depressing thread I’ve read on FreeRepublic. Perhaps it’s time to change the name to ExRepublic. (By the way, the domain name is available.)
I am astounded at the number of people in Red Hampshire that act like a bunch of foul-mouthed five year old brats...
Never going to happen..beween the left controlling the schools, entertainment and the news media the mass production of morons has nevse been higher in the history of the world.
I disagree. I'm also not trying to sell anything.
Americans STILL have too much to lose. Kids to practice, dad workin for the promotion, vacations and such are still goin on.
Once the economy is wrecked, folks begin to wonder where the next meal is coming from...they will begin to point the finger at Washington and all these oligarchs that recklessly spent this nation into collapse. Then, there will be hell to pay.
We've just had it too good in this country. Pain does curious things to people.
All of that death and destruction for what?
We are all chummy now with the Germans and the Japs, and thousands of Americans died for nothing.
Unlike the ragheads, who we will never be friendly with unless we westernize them by force, I'm not a big fan of getting peoples kids killed in a fight with an enemy that we are allied with soon after.
Where are the "teachers" of tomorrow coming from? [Or, has not the seed corn already been eaten, two generations of not?]
