The archbishop of Canterbury has announced a campaign to stamp out anti-gay bullying in Church of England schools, acknowledging that attitudes toward sexuality have changed.

Archbishop Justin Welby, spiritual leader of the world’s Anglican Communion, stressed that the Church of England wasn’t changing its teaching on gay relationships, but that it would be “absurd and impossible” to ignore shifting cultural attitudes. …

Bullying is wrong, no doubt.

But is this campaign a spot on the slippery slope toward acceptance, “full inclusion”, and ultimately celebration of sexual deviancy?

Can I ask a stupid question?

What’s with all this anti-gay bullying effort we see nowadays?

Here’s the thing — gays are an officially recognized grievance group according to politically correct theology. This means that any actions against people of such groups are already subject to more severe punishment.

Anybody bullying homosexuals or racial minorities, or any other recognized grievance groups are already subject to more severe punishment for “hate” crimes and such.

My stupid question is whether anti-gay bullying is really such a big problem in this world, considering that we live in a politically correct world in which liberal thought pervades our institutions and legal system. Flame away.

The language Welby used indicates the latter.

Warning!: there will be false churches, and false priests. They will pervert God’s message.

It amazes me how anyone could believe in God, but violate His moral law so proudly. Anti-homosexual bullying? Is this all this idiot has time for?

It is the deviants who are the bullies.

It;s not a problem. Today, you’re much more likely to be bullied for saying homosexuality is a sin, than for becoming an annoying, effeminate rump ranger.

I think the only ones that would flame you are the overtly pro-gay types.

The “equal protection” clause of the Fourteenth Amendment is certainly not enough for the leftists; that puts a block on their agenda. Instituting “hate crimes” undermines that clause, creates “protected classes” (versus “unprotected”) and thus inflames class warfare by creating such where previously none existed.

Why not simply focus on the bullying. There is absolutely zero need to focus on ‘gay bullying’ or any other victim class bullying. What this is for is to widen the scope of what is defined as bullying to encompass any perceived negativity expressed towards open homosexuals something which has no place in schools and has nothing to do with education but of course the simple approach of expecting all kids to keep their sexual orientations under wraps is too much.

I'm sick of this gay sh** day in and day out....On my TV, on the news, in the courts.

And gay marriage??? Ridiculous. Just a bunch of perverts.

That would not serve the liberal agenda. Keeping within constitutional bounds and focusing on equal protection of the laws would make class warfare fizzle out too quickly for leftists and their agenda.

PS. That would be US-specific. English Common Law, I believe, has similar provisions, which the liberals over there have steadily undermined especially through compliance with Code Napoleon-based EU law.

“Bullying”=any criticism of homosexuality and its practitioners.

The resultant PC thought and speech police censorship IS bullying and worse.

The C of E is already riven with division over this and other matters. It’s no wonder that a partial reversal of the Reformation is underway.

Is anti-gay bullying bullying by those against homosexual acceptance or is it bullying by homosexuals against those opposing the homosexual agenda?

I couldn’t determine from the article.

The entire “anti-bullying” movement is based on the (correct) conclusion that many kids who were sissies, or did gay-ish things when they were young were straightened out by their peers. Little boys who cry too much on the playground, or who pick up something feminine to play with are teased and taunted and they quickly “get it.” It sounds mean but it's one of the ways societies teach their members to fit in normally and it has been that way for tens of thousands of years. Childhood peer pressure is the last hurdle for the homos toward having full acceptance in society — they believe. I believe they'll never succeed but they are going to keep pushing on even if it comes to the point of establishing the reeducation camps you see in totalitarian societies that try to control normal human thought processes.

Which is exactly what they are really concerned about not bullying specifically. Its a tool to integrate gay normalcy into the classroom.

The archbishop of Canterbury has announced a campaign to stamp out anti-gay bullying in Church of England schools, acknowledging that attitudes toward sexuality have changed.

Jf attitudes have changed, there shouldn't be any bullying of homosexuals that needs to be stopped, right? So no need for a campaign.
