Yep. That's the bay between the heliport and Berkey Field. When typhoons come through, they often leave behind large piles of detritus along the footpath and even the road paralleling that seawall.

Thank you, and your late father, for your service.

The same to you for YOUR service, FRiend. We were lucky, people like you and I. We had the opportunity to do what we could in the service of our country, and in return we saw things and experienced things that few people who didn’t have that opportunity will never have.

I didn’t make a career out of the military (as my father did) but I learned more about myself and the world in those four years that I served, and I did in all those years since then.

I’m grateful for the imprint that it had on me, because I feel that it has helped me in my personal life and professional life in more ways than I can count.
