Just a guess...but it looks like the judge is covering all her bases for the MSM. She mostly stands with the prosecution but she took this opportunity to separate Zimmerman from his attorneys and stand with him (a Hispanic) over his defense.
As prescribed by Saul Alinsky (Rule #13) "identify, isolate, escalate [i.e. attack]". In this case, she isolated the defense from their own client and attacked.
Word to Obama and Holder. Good job, boys!

"she took this opportunity to separate Zimmerman from his attorneys and stand with him (a Hispanic) over his defense."I think it's a little different. I think she wanted to embarrass Zimmerman in front of the jury in order to point out to the jury that those who don't testify are often hiding their own guilt. The jury could not possibly have missed this exchange. Also, by springing it on him, with no warning, his lawyers had no chance to prepare him for it. It is not a common thing to happen, and the lawyers are supposed to be in a position to always be able to speak for their client.
