Video from Wednesday's "Impeach Obama" overpass protest.  This took place from 4~6PM (rush hour) on a bicycle overpass over Interstate 290 in Elk Grove Village.  This was organized through the Facebook page, "Overpasses For Obama's Impeachment".

Except for local traffic reports and a mention on Joe Walsh's radio show, it garnered no media attention despite a local news helicopter fly-by.

More protests at other overpasses are scheduled in the coming weeks.

Is there any symbolic or other significance of holding these demonstrations on highway overpasses? Why highway overpasses rather than other locations?

I suppose the people in California that first did the overpass protests figured that it was an ideal way to be unavoidably seen by a large number of people in a short amount of time.

I’m sure I’ll be hearing from someone’s lawyer about the use of that song. I’ll have to pick something else for the next video (suggestions welcome).

This was a departure for me, but for a worthy cause that I support. I normally do video work for local bands at live shows. So if anyone has a band that needs a demo video, contact me... up to 5 HD cams, great editing, cheap! I’m unemployed since a layoff, so I could use the $$.

Good idea on using the cups; could have been bolder, and more easy to read if the bottoms of the cups were painted or outlined in color.

Stretching it out and painting or outlining the bottoms of cups would be more readable.
