The farce that is the George Zimmerman “murder” trial took a bizarre turn when the prosecution sought leave to have the jury consider a new charge against Zimmerman — felony murder. Felony murder occurs when one causes someone’s death while committing a felony.
What felony did Zimmerman allegedly commit? Why, child abuse, of course.
Although it was clearly abusive of Zimmerman to have a child (Trayvon Martin was 17, don’t you know) beat on him and pound his head into the gravel, the judge declined to present a charge of felony-murder to the jury.
I view the Zimmerman affair as a show trial that’s showing plenty, but not what the State intended.

That was a desperation move by the prosecution. You don’t have to prove intent for felony murder. They know they haven’t proven the intent element of their case.

The acid test for GOPe inclusion is whether the candidate fits in a Manhattan or Georgetown cocktail party. Early in my career, I attended a few of the latter. To this day, it's the closest thing I've seen to the looters depicted in Atlas Shrugged. Partisanship is a strategy for fooling the voters to get elected/re-elected rather than grounded in ideology.
Do you remember the first reports on this event? In at least one case Zimmerman was described as a huge 250 pound white man in his late twenties who had killed a black “child” for no reason. I thought Zimmerman was going to be some Nordic looking fellow who looked the way I did forty years ago. I am six four and 250 pounds and not fat. I was amazed to see the fist video of him, he is tiny compared to the way he was described and looks as if most of his weight is flab. Trayvon Martin turned out to be about the size I was at 17, I was a little taller but weighed about the same. I am certain I was physically much stronger then than George Zimmerman is.

You are confused, the child abuse occurred when George struck Trayvon in the fist with his nose, then proceeded to fall down on Trayvon’s foot causing extreme injury to Trayvon, he then commenced to bash Trayvon in both fists with his face while bouncing his head off the pavement to gain power as he continued to violently attack Trayvon’s fists with his head. Does that clear things up for you?

I think that judge needs the Saul Alynsky treatment.
