Airman Punished for Objecting to Gay Marriage in Military Chapel

A 27-year veteran of the Utah Air National Guard said he was reprimanded after he wrote a letter objecting to a gay wedding in the West Point chapel and was later told to prepare for retirement because his personal beliefs about homosexuality were not compatible with the military’s policies.

“The military is trying to make examples of people who have religious beliefs that homosexual conduct in the military is wrong,” said John Wells, an attorney representing TSgt. Layne Wilson. “The end game is to force conservative Christians out of the military.”

Last December Wilson wrote a letter to a person believed to be a chaplain at West Point. He stated his displeasure at news of a same-sex ceremony held in the Cadet Chapel.

“This is wrong on so many levels,” Wilson wrote. “If they wanted to get married in a hotel that is one thing. Our base chapels are a place of worship and this is a mockery to God and our military core values. I have proudly served 27 years and this is a slap in the face to us who have put our lives on the line for this country. I hope sir that you will take appropriate action so this does not happen again.”

So why exactly is military service still an admirable profession?

The End Game is to ruin the best military force in the world and America in the process.

Sometimes seems that that has already occurred.

If Wilson were a Mohammedan would this be happening to him?

“his personal beliefs about homosexuality were not compatible with the military’s policies”

So what about the gay soldier whose personal belief about homosexuality is to foxhole every soldier he is in a foxhole with?

Is that belief compatible with the military’s policies?

(I almost said ‘core values’ ha ha.)

There’d be no letter. Just an “Allahu Akbar” followed by an explosion.

Unfortunately, sir, that's exactly what they intended. But from the rest of us, thank you for your patriotism and service.

“his personal beliefs about homosexuality were not compatible with the military’s policies.”

There is a difference between beliefs and behaviors. Until recently the behaviors of homosexuals was not compatible with the military’s polices yet persons who believed in “gay rights” where not expelled so long as they did not engage in that behavior. You could have whatever beliefs you wanted, behavior was governed. Now behavior is what ever you want and beliefs are governed.

The intolerant left showing their true agenda.

The US military has up to now been the greatest force for good in the world. The problem with the military model is that they're expected to unconditionally obey their superiors and when command becomes depraved, the military as a whole becomes a force for evil. The Totenkopf SS is considered to be the most evil group of people in history, but in the end, they were nothing but a group of guys following orders.

Incidentally, they were also gay.

first amendment, freedom of religion and freedom of speech, I guess the fringe extreme left can’t get it into their thick dumb heads that what they do is unhealthy, sick, twisted and unnatural which even many moderates on the left agree with

the white house is promoting homosexuals in the Pentagon and thus telling normal military members to beware or you lose everything.

The first thing the next President should do is overturn this insantity

. . . in the end, they were nothing but a group of guys following orders.

Now that the orders are quite clear, how can any decent person claim that we need more young people lining up to follow them?

****"Ironically, Wells pointed out, the Defense of Marriage Act was still the law of the land and TSgt. Layne was simply reporting “what he believed was a violation of the law.”***

So what about the gay soldier whose personal belief about homosexuality is to foxhole every soldier he is in a foxhole with?

They want to change the word "foxhole" to "cornhole".

We have a raging homosexual, anti-American, anti-Christian living in our White House. I'm not at all surprised.

Funny, I was always taught that not only could I refuse illegal orders, but that I was obligated to do so.
