That was my original suggestion if you look back at the first comment; so, I could not agree more. And I certainly agree with sealing the border.
However, I am less worried about the border with Canada where Chicago is located and more worried about our southern border with Mexico. As far as I know, drug cartels have not taken over our border with Canada. Not that I am complaining about that...

I know that you feel qualified to make judgements from hundreds of miles away while I actually get to Detroit and speak to the people. Detroit is not a liberal city by any stretch of the imagination and that's just the beginning of where you're wrong. You're just running your mouth with zero knowledge. Now go ahead and take it up with equally ignorant people who will agree with you.

Sounds to me like you are having a “moral breakdown with nothing but anger and destruction” as you mentioned earlier.
In this case, I will rejoice with the people of Detroit if the situation there is changing for the better and I am wrong. However, no government or bank in the history of the world has solved the problem of criminal violence.
I earnestly hope that you are right and time will tell us that. In the meantime, I suggest that you learn how to debate others without making personal attacks.
