It’s all up and down the line on this one, and from both sides of the aisle. Don’t forget that Angela Corey is where she is in this case due to Rick Scott. There should never have been a special prosecutor, and wouldn’t have been had he any ‘nads to stand up to the racial pressure from the White House and media.

FWLIW, I am aware of this issue, and bring it up with and educate others a little about it, due to posts from folks like you, here.

Rarely mentioned is that Zimmerman is a name found among Jews and that George Zimmerman has Jewish ancestory.

How much of the persecution of George Zimmerman is due to the anti-semitism of Obama ( the purported president) and his gang?

The 95% don’t give a rat’s ass about being part of the community

The community they espouse is separate but more equal

“But if Floridians are of a mind to let off a little steam, they might usefully burn down the Sanford courthouse and salt the earth. The justice system revealed by this squalid trial is worth rioting over.”

How I love this man...

“Monty Python Show?” When was that?

Many moons ago. You can do a Google search to find out when it actually aired.

I did Google it. There was no “Monty Python Show.”

There was a British program back in the ‘60’s - ‘70’s called “Monty Python’s Flying Circus,” of which I was one of millions of avid fans, but there was no “Monty Python Show.”

I thought maybe there was a programme series I had missed....

The full name of the show was “Monty Python’s Flying Circus”. Good grief.

Beautifully said - and so true!

“at the federal level there is a conviction rate of over 90 percent”...
This is actually approaching the levels of Soviet-era “show trials”, where everyone involved, including the defendant, knew what the outcome of the trial would be well in advance of stepping into the courtroom. Really disturbing.
I know! Let’s prosecute more innocent people - that way we can get the conviction rate down as low as we want! </sarcasm>
In real life we want a high conviction rate to happen - so long as it is because the only people who get prosecuted are people who are actually guilty as charged. The trouble is that, as we all know, in the George Zimmerman case nothing could be further from the truth. In this case we needed the jury to enter their deliberations, poll them selves, and turn on their heels and storm out, render a “not guilty” verdict - and go over and commiserate with George Zimmerman.

Instead, poor George Zimmerman is somewhere pacing the floor and wondering if he will ever survive prison - and even if he does, how old will he be and what relationship will he have with his (childless?) wife?

Sorry for being too dense for you. I simply don't know what got into me. I'll try to do better in the future at figuring out what you mean when you say the wrong words. In this case, I'd never seen anybody get that wrong before and I really thought there was a bundle of undiscovered Monty Python material out there.

Thanks for the ping, and kudos to the jury...

Steyn does a brilliant summation, as always, and the machinations involving this trial are truly mind-boggling!
