George Zimmerman found not guilty of murder in Trayvon Martin's death
CNN ^ | July 13, 2013 | Greg Botelho

George Zimmerman is not guilty of the murder of Trayvon Martin, a Florida jury decided late Saturday.

The fact that Zimmerman fired the bullet that killed Martin was never in question, but the verdict means the six-person jury had reasonable doubt that the shooting amounted to a criminal act.

The verdict caps a case that has inflamed passions for well over a year, much of it focused on race and gun rights.

The six-person jury -- all women -- basically had three choices: to find Zimmerman guilty of second-degree murder; to find him guilty of the lesser charge of manslaughter; or to find him not guilty.

The jurors deliberated for 16½ hours total, including 13 on Saturday alone, before delivering its verdict.

Yes, let the TrayBama riots begin!

Apparently low-class Sharpton wants them to riot:

http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs/sharpton-slap-face-those-who-believe-justice-country_739351.html#

Wow, I was hoping dishonest Al Sharpton would rise above race baiting, but I suppose race-baiting has been his life’s livelihood.

How he can totally ignore the bloodied nose and head pictures of Zimmerman when Trayvon had no such signs of abuse other than the final bullet wound??

What Koolaid is Sharpton drinking that he can’t understand the concept of “beyond a reasonable doubt?”

Good summary of how the Media and Obama’s ilk framed Zimmerman before he even had a chance:

http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Journalism/2013/07/13/Media-Zimmerman-Coverage-Rap-Sheet

Zimmerman should SUE OBAMA AND SHARPTON for all they’re worth!!

MOM said in the presser that the state is going to have to pay much of their defense costs. Don’t know if that includes fees, but somehow I image the defebse attorneys will end up OK financially, as they should.

Now we must pray for their safety in light of the hate- mongering true racists who were falsely accusing Zimmerman of profiling Martin.

Yes, I too am praying for these women and their families, plus the defense attorneys and theirs. We will see if Obama throws anymore fuel on the fire.

I bet the pucker factor went into overdrive when MOM stated the press was part of the blame to run with a story that was false.

From what I read about the SA IT guy that was the whistleblower, the decision to sanction the Persection was delayed til after the trial,so maybe something will become of it.

I am glad for George Zimmerman’s legal exoneration. That said, I’m still pretty disgusted by the vile blood lust shown by certain segments of society and the complicit media who fanned the flames of racism over this entire ordeal. We now need to stand back and call these people out.

The nice thing about the release of intense, longstanding tension these lawyers have just gone thru is that it makes telling the truth boldly just that much easier.

West was funny! “I want to keep my law license for a few more years.” Wait till he gets to write his memoirs!

And for what its worth, I believe someone else here said that there needs to be some real political blowback from this for those responsible for pushing it to this extreme...

There certainly does.

At the state level, that would include Angela Corey and whoever assigned her as "special prosecutor". Is Corey elected or appointed? And who assigned her to the job? Would that be the State AG, Pam Bondi?

Does the governor, Scott, bear any blame for this travesty?

At the federal level, we've got a whole 'nother kettle of fish...

For one, I'd like to know just who it was that called the media's attention to the case -- a full three weeks after the fact!

Did you know that the first national story didn't appear until three weeks to the day after the story was first reported locally. For three weeks, the Sanford community -- black and white -- knew of the case and was generally satisfied that it was self-defense. The original news stories were quite complete and the John Good eyewitness report was usually cited early in the story. Along with the development's recent history of break-ins.

Then, in a broad, coordinated cascade, the national stories hit. And they left out many of the things that had been reported locally -- like Good's eyewitness account, the recent break-ins, etc. And, as the story was developed, much selective editing was employed to slant the narrative.

Ryan Julison, Crump's sleazeball PR guy, may have been responsible for this. But I'm thinking it's more likely that somebody in the White House was handling the affair with the press.

I want to know who instructed the press. And I want to know why they agreed to foster the journalistic fraud.

Just as I said, Al Step-n-fetch saying we need more Federal control to make sure the poor oppressed Black man needs protection from Whitey. More communism is the answer to the Zimmerman crisis.
