He took over for Donovan McNabb. He also does Time Warner Cable commercials with Coach Bill Cowher.

I know this will get me flamed by some here, but I’ve had it with professional sports because it is populated by too many like this guy. I know there are still plenty of ‘good guys’ in professional sports, but the percentage of apparent thugs is too high to ignore.

It may not be a popular observation, but I remember never being able to like Muhammad Ali, in fact I despised him. I lay at his feet the start of trash talking. The "look at me" attitude. The "I'm better than you" mentality. In my opinion, he single-handedly (along with the help of the media) started the poisonous atmosphere that sports have become.

Rabble rousers tend to have short attention spans, fortunately for the sane among us.

I became aware of then Cassius Clay in 1964 when he was screaming “I am the greatest!!” Professional sports really started downhill in the 1970’s and is thoroughly thuggized now.

The only sports I watch is at Hockeyfights.com. The essence of fair play & competition distilled down to its basics with two designated bruisers on skates beating the cr@p out of each other.

In sports as in most matters it’s always best to cut to the chase.

Just another NFL thug promoting thuggery.

Truly nothing even close to surprising out of that player or thaleaguee.

Will this so-called football team disavow his race baiting comments? I’D BE REALLY, REALLY SURPRISED.

The "look at me" attitude.

I won't disagree, but this is one of my favorite pictures of all time. From the second Liston fight

Given the NFL’s stated policy to punish players for making remarks they feel are politically incorrect, we all need the e-mail for the NFL so we can explain how offended we are and how important it is for them to punish every player who suggests that a good hispanic man be killed for defending himself.

Pro sports is so full of ignorant fools who mistakenly assume anyone cares what they think or that they have any relevance in the real world. Pro sports is maybe of the grandest examples of what is wrong with America.

You’re not going to get any fire from me!

From about 1963 on, you couldn’t pry me away from the TV on football Sundays. Decades later, football turned into more business than sport. The final death-knell (IMHO) was the idiots at the NFL hiring MTV to manage the halftime show resulting in the half-time titty show. Morons.

If anyone would know the ways of the hood it’s the average football player.

True 40% of the NFL members are felons.

He should be suspended without pay by the NFL for at least one entire season.

Knowing the PC spineless NFL, I expect they will take no action.
