The Obama Administration is misleading Congress and the American people when it asserts that it plans to maintain a strong national defense. On February 13, 2012, President Barack Obama unveiled his fiscal year (FY) 2013 defense budget request.[1] The request comes on the heels of the January 5, 2012, release of a new strategic guidance outlining the nations defense policy.[2] The numbers in the budget submission reveal that the nations defense is the Administrations lowest budget priority among the major responsibilities of the federal government. The budget submission also reveals that the Administration has proposed defense funding levels that are inadequate to maintaining the U.S. military capabilities described in the defense strategic review.

Obama hates the military and hates the people that support the war fighter — Many furloughed civilians are veterans themselves and have served and sacrificed much of their adult lives in defense of this great nation!

Well, the budget is the responsibility of Congress. I wonder what the priorities of the GOP are.
Congress is not being “mislead” about anything. They’re in it with him as far as I can tell.
