Ted Nugent blames Trayvon Martin for shooting in George Zimmerman case
NEW YORK DAILY NEWS ^ | July 15, 2013 | Ethan Sacks

Posted on 07/15/2013 1:20:13 PM PDT by grundle

Full title: Ted Nugent blames Trayvon Martin for shooting in George Zimmerman case, calling late teen 'a dope smoking, racist gangsta wannabe'

Controversial rocker says Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, the Black Panthers, President Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder made case about race when it's 'clear-cut self-defense.'

Ted Nugent wasted no time in providing ammunition to further stoke tensions over the George Zimmerman case.

The conservative rocker and NRA board member took aim at the controversy surrounding a Florida jury’s not guilty verdict in the shooting death of unarmed 17-year-old Trayvon Martin -- calling the teen victim a “dope smoking, racist gangsta wannabe.”

In a column for the right-leaning site Rare, Nugent wrote the prosecutors were pressured into bringing a trial when it was obvious “cut and dried self-defense.”

“The race-baiting industry saw an opportunity to further the racist careers of Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, the Black Panthers, President Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder, et al, who then swept down on the Florida community refusing to admit that the 17-year-old dope smoking, racist gangsta wannabe Trayvon Martin was at all responsible for his bad decisions and standard modus operendi of always taking the violent route,” wrote Nugent.

“Trayvon had no reason not to attack, because it was the standard thug thing to do. See Chicago any day of the week.”

As tens of thousands of protesters took to the streets in New York, Los Angeles, Miami and several other cities to protest the verdict, Nugent later told Newsmax that Martin was solely at fault for escalating the confrontation that ultimately led to his own death.

The “Cat Scratch Fever” guitarist — a polarizing figure who called for arming teachers after the Sandy Hook massacre and is reportedly considering a bid for the White House in 2016 — called for the disbarment of the entire prosecution team for bringing the Zimmerman case to trial.

“Smart and honest America rejoices that the jury got it right,” Nugent said. “This was the purest case of self-defense you could have ever asked for.”

“My only hesitation on this point of view is...didn’t the cops tell GZ to stay in the car? Not to engage in any way?”

NO. Only the 911 dispatcher said that, not a true peace officer. And George was under NO legal obligation to comnply. He had a right to walk where he wanted, just as Travon was.

Did you actually listen to the trial? Zimmerman did not disobey any order. The non-emergency operator asked, after Zimmerman was already out of his truck (you can hear the door shut on the call)and moving outside, “Are you following?” Zimmerman said he was, and the operator then replied, “We don’t need you to do that.” Zimmerman said, “Okay.” The operator did not order, “Stop immediately” or “Don’t follow”. “We don’t need you to do that” is not an order. After that question, the operator continued to ask questions better answered from outside the truck.

Let's get this right: it was not 911; it was the Non-Emergency Number (NEN) operator/dispatcher.

He had already instructed Zimmerman to "let us know what he's doing," which would imply a direction to maintain visual contact.

Martin walked PAST Zimmerman's parked car and stared Zimmerman down. THEN, Martin ran between two buildings, so that Zimmerman, still seated in his car, could no longer see him.

Zimmerman exited his car to try and see where Martin went.

It was THEN that the NEN operator asked Zimmerman if he was following the suspicious person. Zimmerman replied, "yes."

The NEN operator then said, "we don't need you to do that," to which Zimmerman replied, "OK."

Zimmerman then looked for a house number to direct the responding LE officers, and it was then he claims Martin confronted and attacked him.

My only hesitation on this point of view is...didn’t the cops tell GZ to stay in the car? Not to engage in any way?

You have to read the 911 transcript between GZ & the 911 dispatcher, rather than reading the biased media & Low-Information demoRATs or liberals.

The cops NEVER told GZ to remain in the car, as he was on the phone with the 911 DISPATCHER, not a policeman.

Dispatcher.. Where are you?
GZ.. Following him
Dispatcher.. I wouldn't recommend that
GZ.. Ok (and turns back to return to his car)
TM.. confronts GZ and says "You got a problem?"
GZ.. No, I don't have a problem
TM.. You do now (and procedes to punch GM, break GM's nose, jumps on top of GM and procedes to bash GM's head on the concrete sidewalk)
GM.. feels like his head is ready to explode as TM bashes his head again & again. When TM realizes that GM is carrying a gun, he tries to take it, GM retrieves it instead and fires a single shot, killing TM in self-defense as GM felt his life was at stake.

.
It is a FALSE statement that the police ever told GM to stay in the vehicle.

Ted Nugent “further stoked tensions.” I do not have the time to research The Daily News’ articles on Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, and the New Improved Black Panthers stoking tensions. Ethan Sacks has an embarrassing brown stain on his nose.

So speaking truth to power is stoking tensions ?

But speaking lies for power is not ?

That Ted always knows just what needs to be said. I’ve noticed that famous people named Ted are always kind of special.

Whether or not TM belonged in the complex is somewhat immaterial. It was not his right to be there that caused Zimmerman to call. It was his behavior. It was rainy, and TM was not walking on the sidewalk, but rather was next to the houses looking in the windows. There was no overhang on the sides of the houses to excuse TM of seeking some shelter. Incidentally, the house where Zimmerman first saw him was a house that had been robbed, and regarding TM;s right to be in the community, other robbers who had been caught were young, black males living in the neighborhood.

From the time TM first began moving away rapidly, whether running or sort of skipping, to the time of the confrontation, based upon phone records and witness testimony, was four minutes. TM, supposedly a football player, had four minutes to go less than the length of a football field. In fact, one of the prosecution witnesses, TM’s friend, testified that TM told her he did reach his father’s girlfriend’s house at some point in their first calls. TM was back to safety, probably long before Zimmerman even reached the “t” of the sidewalks, and chose to return to confront Zimmerman. Although she did not testify to such, I wouldn’t be surprised if she did not egg on the fight since she alluded to TM having a history of fighting in her testimony.

I have a local talk radio guy that keeps saying how stupid GZ was to stalk TM and how he was a cop wanna be etc. I have not followed this case entirely so I would like to look at a synopsis of the details leading up to the death. Anyone out there can give me a link?

“You do not know that for sure. That is just what GZ said happened.”

“Not guilty” is not the same as “innocent”. There is exactly one living person who might know what happened, and he may not even remember everything correctly.

The law cannot “fix” everything for everyone. One person is dead, one person’s life is ruined.

The person who told Zimmerman to not follow has exactly as much authority to do so as my dog.

if Zimmerman had been black and Martin white, then everyone In the country would have been in agreement with Ted.

If Zimmerman had been black and Martin white, then this wouldn't have made it past Sanford local news.

Yep, MD, no doubt.

Truth is harsh, and it hurts sometimes, but the only thing that counts is truth.

It was lying about Trayvon’s recent criminal activities that helped this situation to occur, possibly making him think he can get away with his illegal behavior without consequence, and it is further lying about what happened that is going to cause similar tragedy for someone else.

This country needs to end its love affair with the lie, or this country will be ended by the lie.
