Like Zimmerman, the baby was mixed. The baby's mother is white, and the father is a fairly dark Hispanic fellow. The baby's complexion was closer to the mom.
My name was Antonio West and I was the 13-month old child who was shot at point blank range by two teens who were attempting to rob my mother, who was also shot. A grand jury of my mommy’s peers from Brunswick GA determined the teens who murdered me will not face the death penalty...too bad I was given a death sentence for being innocent and defenseless.
My family made the mistake of being white in a 73% non-white neighborhood, but my murder was not ruled a hate crime. Nor did President Obama take so much as a single moment to acknowledge my murder.
I am one of the youngest murder victims in our great nation’s history, but the media doesn’t care to cover the story of my tragic demise. President Obama has no children who could possibly look like me - so he doesn’t care and the media doesn’t care because my story is not interesting enough to bring them ratings so they can sell commercial time slots.
There is not a white equivalent of Al Sharpton because if there was he would be declared racist, so there is no one rushing to Brunswick GA to demand justice for me. There is no White Panther party to put a bounty on the lives of those who murdered me. I have no voice, I have no representation and unlike those who shot me in the face while I sat innocently in my stroller, I no longer have my life.
So while you are seeking justice for Treyvon, please remember to seek justice for me too. Tell your friends about me, tell you families, get t-shirts with my face on them and make the world pay attention, just like you did for Treyvon.

Everyone, everyone, should play any crime or incident out in one’s mind with different races on each side — one black, one white, both black, both white, one Asian, one Hispanic, just keep going through a variety of races, and only then come to a conclusion.
I fully believe and would bet and win on it that if Zimmerman had been black or half black like Obama, and if trayvon had been white, the race baiters and marchers would be so happy their guy was not guilty! He was being beaten to death by an evil white kid. Of course the good black community watch guy was only trying to defend himself and keep his stuff safe.

Fantastic post. I especially like the part about a white spokesperson pointing out the racial angle of Antonio’s shooting being dismissed as racist. That’s sad but true. It’s high time that people stop caring when the Left dubs you racist. This reaction to Zimmerman’s acquittal and the subsequent reprisal attacks and riots show that it is absolutely imperative for spokesmen to step to the plate and speak up for white America.
I appreciate Allen West being such a man of high integrity. You can guarantee that his legitimate point is already being dismissed by the NAACP as Uncle Tomism.
Look at the OJ being acquitted for charges of murdering two unarmed white people. Black people were openly celebrating and praising the justice system for working. Suddenly, when the victim is an unarmed black teen and the acquitted is a white Hispanic, the judicial system is broken and racist.
The only thing that stayed consistent is some black people taking their verdict feelings to the extreme. To celebrate OJ's acquittal some openly gloated. To show their feelings about Zimmerman's acquittal some are openly rioting and attacking.

Where are they on all the black on white hate crimes. I remember the incident, not long ago, when a group of black teens followed a white middle schooler home from school and set him on fire.
No one gave a crap except the single mom who lived in a black area. I hope she moved, meaning she’d be the “racis”.
Someone, after the verdict was read out and the jurors appeared and answered questions, asked the fat black chick in the mustard-colored outfit, "Well, what about Ron and Nicole? What about justice for them?" by answering, "uhh, umm, yeah, well ......"
She might as well have added, "Oh, yeah -- you can come and get their bodies now. We're done with them."
Fact is, YBM's are the scourge of the nation, murdering in all directions and murdering out without even being identified as to race or RW identity in about half the cases involving non-black victims (about 12% of all murders).
Remember the numbers: 93% of blacks who are murdered are killed by other blacks. Half of all non-blacks who are murdered are killed by YBM's, half of whom the FBI/DoJ sweeps under the "unknown" rug.
The numbers are big, but MSM want to fascinate over one black thug who walked into a well-earned bullet.

Karimah Elkins and the suspect's aunt, Katrina Elkins, were also charged with making false statements to police. The indictment says the aunt told investigators her nephew was at her house when the slaying occurred. It says the suspect's mother told police that her son was with her when the baby was shot.

This incident happened only 15 miles from the little coastal fishing village where I retired. Local media covered the story as far as Savannah. I found that my friends in Los Angeles and Seattle had no knowledge of this incident because the national media avoided it. There was a reason for this, but it wasn't all that stuff in Florida.
What the media fear is something that will set back race relations to the way things were before the Sixties, especially in the South.
Had this incident occurred as recently as the 1920's, the fathers of Brunswick would have donned their sheets and pointy hats, marched by torchlight to the police station, taken the suspects to a bridge or live oak, and lynched them. The bodies would have been burned.
Then the fathers would have taken those torches to the Brunswick ghetto and burned it to the ground, an action reminiscent of Tulsa (1921) and Rosewood FL (1923).
It is precisely this that the media wishes to avoid. They call it "being a responsible steward of the press and public airwaves." Bottom line: They fear what would happen to race relations if white folks got really riled up. There is an ancestral memory of Jim Crow in the South, and people here are wary of it.
